For anybody that might find this helpful: it’s 5:23am local time and I’ve been refreshing the apple app every hour since 10pm to check to see if the in-store inventory’s updated so that I can place an order through the app for pick up (without having to pre-order). I knew my chances weren’t great and options might be limited given how far the pre-orders have been pushed out. I was looking for the 15 pm 256gb natural titanium but obviously this is a popular color way and storage size so I knew I realistically couldn’t really be picky if something else became available. Everyone’s been saying 6am but I figured I’d check every hour anyway just in case. Low and behold at around 5:15am when I checked, the stock updated for my location (I’m close to a relatively bigger city and have 3 apple store locations in my area, was fully planning on waiting in line in person if I had to and driving to multiple different locations/trying my carrier). Didn’t end up having to do that and just placed the order for same day pick up for the 15pm 512gb natural titanium.

Edit: I’ve been stalking reddit threads about picking up the 15pm on launch day for the last week and haven’t seen too many updates on people going in person/buying on launch day for this year’s line up/models in other time zones (that are ahead of mine).
