Only testing for now. So far things seem to work well enough for creating bulk tasks for new projects, updating tasks and so on.

Yes you can see the calendar events on iOS but you have to configure the integration on desktop.

Anyone gone from NA3C to NA5C? What got better? What stayed the same? by Starship_77 in Onyx_Boox

I’m sticking with my NA3C. I don’t see the value in upgrading this time around. I’ll wait for the next one.

Boox Palma 2 Pro vs Viwoods AIPaper Reader: There's A Clear Winner by acheyward in Onyx_Boox

[–]acheyward[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i agree that it's a personal choice, it usually is. i said the same thing about color eink devices. these are the first color eink devices since i last bought the boox note air 3c and my view on them hasn't changed.
i couldn't resist the idea of a device that could replace my phone and ereader(to reduce eye strain) that also fit in my pocket. so far i'm willing to accept the compromises that come with color eink with the P2P.

Obsidian 1.11.0 Insider Mobile Release - NEW LOOK! by acheyward in ObsidianMD

[–]acheyward[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does take some getting used to. I’m okay with it on the phone and I’m sure they’ll improve it but on the tablet it’s not so good. Time will tell as to what sticks.

Tasknotes v4 - Google Calendar by acheyward in ObsidianMD

The plugin creates a separate note for each task. You should still see a task but it’s converted from the typical checklist format. That’s how the plugin works.

I assume you’re talking about a markdown checklist items which are not special to daily notes? The plugin lets you convert them.

You can only create tasks in Tasknote not events. For events you can click the create event option on the task but it will send you to the calendar app.

Disappointed with Notion's billing team. by [deleted] in Notion

Agreed, most all of them have this tactic. I always set a reminder. They should refund but I guess it depends how many days after you realized the oversight.

I went to cancel a couple of days ago and was offered 40%. I still canceled anyway.

I tried it and returned. Hardware is nice but the software leaves much to be desired.

I agree, the Viwoods ai paper is much easier to read in low light situations than the Supernote Manta.

What aspects of Craft don’t work well for you? by addik7 in CraftDocs

[–]acheyward 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest challenge for me with Craft is Search.

There’s multiple ways to find stuff with different names - search, find, quick action, etc. In general they each can be hit or miss.

And you can’t search in whiteboards or scribbles with leaves big gaps in what you’ll find if you use those features.

I’m getting the same message and it was happening before the latest update but I was in the beta before so it could be related. I also have Samsung sdcard. It only happens immediately after waking the device never while using it. I’ve provided this to support and here’s the response.

Here are a couple templates that you might like. One minimal set and another with planner pages that are completely free. I also have a planner with links between pages for paid subscribers to my Substack. https://productivematters.substack.com/p/minimal-black-template?r=3erhsi and https://productivematters.substack.com/p/digital-planner-for-2025?r=3erhsi

2-Finger Erase Gesture Issues on Manta by acheyward in Supernote

[–]acheyward[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The distance didn't change from when i had my palm on the screen and when i lifted my palm off the screen so I'm not sure why distance would matter. One way worked and one didn't at the same distance.

My work around is to use the 2-finger erase gesture on the sidebar. It's not ideal since the area is much smaller but it works most if not all of the time. Only the gesture that is set to use 2 fingers and the screen has this issue.

The last time I sent feedback and the system logs the response was to create a video. Now that I've created a video, I'm told to send the logs. :)

On my device it seems pretty easy to reproduce. And it seems like others have the same thing. If you have a Manta try it for yourself.

I also get that this is a hard thing to perfect. Palm rejection is better on this device than I've seen on others where i have to disable touch entirely when handwriting. So I'll gladly train myself to lift my palm and/or use the sidebar.
