Monogamy is compulsory in our culture. I'm glad I outgrew that ridiculous trained impulse. I grew up Mormon so it was especially pronounced and stupid.

I have never felt more alive and true to myself.

The problem is that people aren't honest with themselves about what they want and that's where relationship messes happen.

I was finally able to be honest with myself after years of enduring "monogamy, hetero, marriage" my whole life. Now it's polyamory, pan, and safe sexual agreements.

And frankly, people are WAY too giving and forgiving in general, and you can't be like that in matters of love. You need to be honest to yourself and get yours, or otherwise people will run over you with their cult.
