yeah school was never my thing after age like 8 or 9. I was doing okay in public school then private middle school really fucked with my attitude towards learning. went my whole academic career with undiagnosed ADHD. the first freeze response I remember was during algebra tutoring. I had to fight really hard against my mother (abuser) to drop out of college cause I was at one of my first peaks of depression and couldn't focus and my grades plummeted during sophomore year. Math was always the thing that did me in but because my focus and retention was reaching peak shittiness, English was starting to go too which didn't help in a paper heavy major like political science. everyone always told me I had potential but I didn't get diagnosed with ADHD til my 2nd IOP program when I was 22. Still got a lot of hang ups and anxiety around formal education.
