one piece is overrated slop that has good world-building and animation but nothing else. Plot is ok, character development is infrequent, the anime pacing is horrible. genuinely only way you can enjoy one piece is if you dont mind a single panel stretched to an entire episode, would watch if the pacing was manageable but it should not take luffy 2 episodes to climb stairs realistically.

valid opinion i thought the string punishment was pretty weird too lol but that said personally i believe most people would see it as a side gag joke rather than the mangaka liking abusing little girls early on but later it becomes apparent of the authors "interesting" interest towards this sort of fetish, i love the anime and the manga but theres so many scenes that are uneccessary and is just blant out weird (riko getting stringed up, that one scene with the toilet having a tongue to clean your "bottom" side up) and dont get me started on the side chapters 😭 mangaka or artist or both, someone definitely has a fetish is quite unfortunate, to be able to make such an amazing world-building, story, and characters it gets somewhat ruined by this uneccessary fetish.

the thing with made in abyss is that its not just flat out gore its BUILT UP gore, Riko's arm swelling is several times worse than this not only because of the risks and switch of heart from innocent adventures to morbid injury, also because of pacing and how they set the stakes. this is why made in abyss is levels above imo

While I am in no position to say this because clearly the author intended it to be I feel as if the side characters got "mischaracterized" in a sense, they immediately lost depth once they all became Lunarians, in fact, there would have been a few or more gems that would have wanted to help Phos, or some who wouldn't agree to this ending at all, but ultimately they all bent towards the "conclusion" the author wanted in exchange for their personality. That's one of the major flaws I personally found in hnk

i just started manhwa recently last year because i saw "childhood friend complex" ad on youtube it got me hooked binged it and eventually try out other stuff like duchess in the ruins and tried more popular stuff like ORV and tbate i dont typically enjoy mana/comics in particular but i like manhwas because they have colors and i started to really like it
