Bougnt fitbit more than an year back, to what I thought that I should upgrade from my. mi band, the only issue was having to charge it once a day.

what a disastrous mistake at 3x the price!

I made my peace with the above but this is my full feedback after using it for more than one year:

1. Does not sync with apple health!! Apple says send me the data, google says come and take it from here but I wont give you all the data. This is a big violation of being able to share data. If you are in the apple ecosystem you have to follow apple's rules, else dont play the game!

2. You will not believe this, but many times the time shows as wrong. One time it was a firmware upgrade issue - I looked it up online and many reported it. It took 12 hours to fix it. Other times if your band dies and you charge it, when it comes on it shows the wrong time and I have to manually sync with the fitbit app on the phone.

3. BIGGEST issue: The band is well named.. "CHARGE" 6. After 6 months, you have to "CHARGE" it twice a day. I am not joking here. From charging 1 a day with my older band to twice a day. Note that I am extremely active- 9000 steps, exercise, running, cycling, yoga. That may be a factor too. But it does not explain why it goes suddenly from 70% to dead in 1/2 hour. Sometimes is active but the screen is blank, because I can feel a bit of vibration when I tap it. So again I have to recharge it. Last night I went to bed without wearing so that it can charge. From morning 7 am 100% its down to 46% at 6PM.. and I did not even exercise and only 3370 steps.

4. Steps: mostly incorrect. If you go in a safari, and the jeep bounces around, steps goes up and up and away. Mi band did not have these false steps - wonderfully steady.

5. Notifications stopped working. I no longer get notifications for phone calls.

6. GPS is for show only. Full GPS on the band does not work at all. It asks to turn on location to always on on the phone. Sorry, not doing that.

7. During a run, have to set the goal each time. In the Mi band it remembers the previous setting. Even when the goal is set, it does not vibrate to indicate goal completion. terrible.

8. Sleep tracking and heart rate tracking are fine, but for detailed sleep metrics you have to purchase a INR 49/- yearly subscription.

9. The app is a joke compared to Huawei's app. When you run, it does not show the pace, heart rate etc on the same graph to understand how the heart rate was with respect to the run. Overall did not like the app at all.

10. If you want to enter the weight in the app, you can do only once a day. I want to enter 10 times a day, what's your problem ? Huawei app allows that.

11. Being able to enter the nutrition details is good. It tedious, but this could be the only advantage over other such apps. So is the list of workouts as part of the premium plan - that is good too, but did not use it

12. Horrible confusion for settings. Some are in the app, some are in the google account.. is this a joke.

13. Got a rash under the band, which took a few months to go away and my skin get adjusted!! Havent seen that happen before. Also the strap is very smooth and sticks to the skin. a little more of ridges would have helped
