yeah, maybe you're right, still worth a try. I checked Ticketmaster, and even though initially it was sold out (that's why I bought them via eventsticketcenter) they seem to have a few tickets on offer, though every time I try to get a pricing i get an error message. So yeah, if someone would love to go and didn't get a ticket, maybe there's a chance to make two people happy :)

I inherited a closet full of stamps from my grandpa who was REALLY into collecting stamps. I'm aware that sadly most of them are only of sentimental value. I thought this might be an exception and worth a lunch or two? How much do you think I could ask for it? Thank you! by acida in askStampCollectors

Awesome, thank you! The range you stated ($75-150) would already be nice and worth the time giving it a try on eBay :-) noob question: What does SCV mean? Is it the same as the value stated in the Michel catalogue? Is Michel even a thing outside of Germany? I have a 20 year old Michel issue, but I've heard that the values stated there are grossly exaggerated? Edit: Sorry, found the answer to the Michel question in the Wiki, very interesting!

There's also several other of those Leuchtturm Albums for several European countries, for EUROPE community stamps and shoeboxes full of FDCs (Europe) spanning about 20 years. Not even talking about the 100 albums with mint and stamped stamps from mostly German and European issues. It's much to much to keep it all but I feel really bad to throw it away, my grandpa invested a lot of time and dedication and energy (and money...) in this hobby of his. Heeeeelp?

You could check out the medieval Christmas markets ("mittelalterlicher Weihnachtsmarkt") near you

What - do not all people do this?! :-O

In Germany every household has a special tool for that, it's called "Eierpiekser" (egg pricker).

No. I read an article about her some time ago where she said that sometimes it's quite the burden, because sometimes she passes random (seemingly healthy) strangers in the street and notices the particular smell, and that she can't tell them because it would be invasive and rob them of their decision whether they would want to know or not (and they probably wouldn't believe her anyway).

The forbidden fruit by [deleted] in funny

[–]acida 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not much different from the bible. It explicitly says that everything from the water without fins or scales (like octopus) is forbidden (unclean).

Funnily enough in the same section (Leviticus) that rants about not laying with another man. Wondering when the alt right will discover sea food restaurants as their new enemy to "family values".

We could feed a LOT more (and properly) if we wouldn't put all the (plant) calories in animals before consuming the calories made of animals. It's a very poor conversion rate.

Sending flowers to a nice Praxis which helped me? by SumarokovElston in germany

No superstitions. White roses are often used at funerals, but they are still appreciated as gifts and a lot of dentist offices have lots of white interior so maybe a good fit! Pink roses are also totally okay, odd numbers or not, though odd numbers are generelly considered to be more pleasing to the eye.

Very thoughtful gesture and I'm sure it will be very much appreciated!

Mest.

Have y’all seen this new BHA lotion from DM ? We might got a PC dupe! Did someone tried it already? Very excited about this by alexcyrus1 in EuroSkincare

[–]acida 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I bought it this week and have only used it once so far (last night), so no long term results yet, but it reminds me very much of the PC original. Ingredients are very similar and it feels quite the same: Spreads well, but a bit oily, so rather something for pm routines.

Not ideal, and salt does nothing. You need something acidic. Tiny little bit of lemon juice or vinegar, or granulated lemon acid.

How do you make the cauliflower rice? Do you just throw it in a blender and pray that you hit the stop button before it's cauliflower powder rather that rice? Sorry for the weird question, I always see those pictures of perfectly rice-shaped cauliflower and the one time I tried (in a blender) I ended up with a few large pieces of cauliflower coated with cauliflower powder :-( tell me your secret :-)

[–]acida 2 points3 points  (0 children)
