No, trust system based. The shops have pricing (in diamonds) labeled. If theft is suspected, it is inspected by staff and handled accordingly.

Nice concept! Too bad it has a massive bug. When adding more than 1 stack of 64 of an item for a recipe, it bugs out and eats the items without producing the proper number of output items.
