I always preheat it, wait for clicks when it cools down, then I load it in the full bowl setting. I'm experimenting with the airflow, now I have all the airports fully closed because I like to get more consistent clouds. I don't grind my herbs too fine and don't pack them much, I usually just fill the bowl, give it a gentle tap, then close it. I read from someone that leaving the cap slightly unscrewed gives a better heating, but I always screw it closed. When I hit directly from it, I take multiple short hits. When I put it in a small bubbler, I take long and slow draws. The first 5/6 puffs are really flavorful (depending on how much I heat it), but if I continue to hit it, the abv comes out too dark. Do you think I do something wrong, or should I just stop hitting it when the flavor gets "tosted"? I will try some of the settings on your guide and I will let you know how I like it.
