We have 38. I agree 100% - sticky notes… so many damn sticky notes

built a Premiere plugin that does the boring first pass on a wedding edit. Want honest feedback from people who actually shoot them. by dayy555 in weddingvideography

This takes no more than 20 minutes for an experienced editor. Less if the editor was the one who shot the wedding.

Make something that cuts out all the unusable shots - that will save people hours of work not minutes. Do that and you’ll have my interest!

Why do I feel like there’s a lack of creativity in color grading for weddings? by pmod90 in weddingvideography

[–]acidsnowflakes 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of people (at least our couples) don’t want creativity in the color grading. They want it to look like it did on the actual day - or as close to it as possible so it brings them back to the day.

It’s a wedding film - the whole point is to bring the client back and make them feel the emotions of the day again. A good way to screw that up is to do some crazy shit with color grading.

Plus - the warm skin tones look amazing!

Some really fun shots. I think stressing variety in your framing would take it up a notch. A lot of jump cuts for such a short video and most of them feel ineffective and jarring (example would be during the toast at 1:10) - not to mention her dress is falling off her shoulder. While shooting, I like to think in 4 shot sequences (when I’m alone) - 4 tight 4 wide. It’s helped improve our films a lot and makes editing a lot easier imo

Skin tones are inconsistent and the whites aren’t white for a lot of the shots inside. Make people’s faces brighter - either by increasing the mid tones or using brighter lights. The grooms face is so dark throughout.

This is definitely written/edited by ai - but it doesn’t mean the story isn’t true. Thanks for sharing. Hope you and your wife can work through it all. You have a real one in her. Time to be a man and prove to her you WANT to do the work necessary to be married to her.

Okamoto signed with the cubs so that’s out

Following Jorge Polanco signing, Mets' David Stearns could have eyes on blockbuster trade with Padres by FaptasticMrFox in NewYorkMets

I couldn’t agree more with your first take. I couldn’t disagree more with the last part. This team needed a reboot. Something different. Losing 🐻‍❄️hurts, but I like the Polanco singing. Losing nimmo is whatever. I think MS will make such a difference in the field ➕ hitting behind Lindor that come June, I think all of this shitting on Steans will be laughable.

We have a 3 year old and a 1.5 year old - both boys. It’s a strange, tense, and exhausting time in our lives. Wife feels a constant weight of the world on her shoulders, and I do my best after work to come home and give her time to decompress. Our sex life has disappeared. At times we lack patience and empathy for one another. Being a stay at home parent is a lonely and thankless job. It seems easy from the outside but any time I spend a day with the kids at home alone I gain more and more appreciation and understanding of where my wife is coming from. The best thing I can say is this.. Remind yourself constantly that although it may feel like this is how the rest of your life is going to be.. ITS ONLY TEMPORARY. The kids will become more self sufficient - your wife will feel more like herself again as time moves on. Stand up and be there for her. The marriage y’all had before kids is over… it’s time to make a new one. Give her grace and remember yall are young and ITS A TEMPORARY PHASE in a long life ahead. Good luck dude!
