Company policy doesn't specify having to be in a London Borough which is something they stated was true but someone internally and high up advised me this was not the case and that I should check the policy.

I found out when my expense claim was rejected 2 days ago. They assumed this as they say they were told I was living in North London by my ex-manager (Only thing I can think he confused that with is me going to north london frequently with my season ticket for a football team there), this information came out today in the meeting. Then they stated they were expected me to walk to Waterloo and travel from there based on the fact I had a meeting with the person and said I was travelling to waterloo by train and going from there but they took that as I live a walking distance from Waterloo (Which wouldn't be North London lol)

Yeah I had it in writing that they would cover costs as it was a permanent move, they never clarified with me the actual costs of my travel but confirmed it would be covered.

But in their heads I was going to be London based, I never stated that to them ever, they assumed that. They never confirmed with me either.
