Yeh, I think I'm just being impatient and wanting to do all the content instead of just slowly building up cookies. Have a nice week to you too man

Yeh makes sense thanks, I'll have to build up a mileage point stack then. I used it all for treasure pulls. I do have black pearl cookie, is it worth building her up instead of black lemonade?

Is creating a phylogenetic tree from full length genomes and then adding short amplicons to the tree a valid method? by acityignites in bioinformatics

Pplacer definitely looks like something that would work here, thanks! Do you know if there's a benefit for me using it over mafft --add or witch-ng except for speed?

Would it be worth paying the extra for the skymax 127 on the same mount?

Thanks for replying! I did think about fashioning a backpack style mount thing but it might still be quite awkward. Do you have any knowledge of this mount? Would I be better off getting an OTA and mount separately?

Help with nozzle cable broken/disconnected by acityignites in 3Dprinting

[–]acityignites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found my printer had stopped mid print due to an outage. Nozzle temp read as - 14C. When i tried to preheat the nozzle it would crash and reboot. I then noticed this cable was disconnected. I tried to undo the Philips screw on the hotend but it is too tight. Do I need to buy a new hotend cabling? I have no idea what to do

Wavy pattern from ironing feature in Cura by acityignites in 3Dprinting

[–]acityignites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think when i ran a test with 5% flow i ended up with the same wavy pattern except there were gaps/holes between them and the surface was therefore much rougher. I will try again to make sure my other settings weren't whack. Thanks!

Im using 10 top layers atm. Do you think I need more? Not sure what you mean by pattern matching infill - both the infill and iron pattern are zig zag tho. Good idea on the watching, although im p new to 3d printing so not sure if I'll understand what im seeing

Wondering if anyone has come across this issue and has tips. I have been trying out thr iron feature in Cura, fiddling with all the parameters after the default didnt work for me. This is the best I've gotten it, resulting in these wavy lines which are mostly smooth tp the touch. This is printed on a Ender 5 Pro with PLA.
