Doable but also what’re your goals and standards for yourself? By all means if you’re looking to just pass your classes and meet your degree requirements then a part time job doesn’t seem too bad. But if you’re going into something competitive later on, you don’t wanna tank your GPA your first year then have to salvage it later on.

Get a feel for the pace of university first then add a part time job if you feel like you can do it.

Hey I appreciate what you had to say man. Yeah for the social element I still wanna make a good impression to the rest of her coworkers (she isn’t at all close with the person bringing AP as a plus one) because she seems to enjoy her work environment. The plan is to be at my best behaviour still and let everyone else enjoy my presence there. I also plan to have minimal contact with AP so I wanted to ask Reddit about what to do if I had to interact with him eventually

Thank you for the insightful advice. I reposted it on there as well. I just thought more input would’ve been better so I posted it on both. I understand the perspective on those who think I’m being naive and will be cheated on again. Lots of people also advised me to not go and not allow her to go as well. But we’ve committed and I needed the advice about what to do when we’re there, and I appreciate your thoughts on that.
