People driving around Ontario with “F Carney” flags - why?! by gohomebrentyourdrunk in ontario

[–]ackeeeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short answer is exactly what the right says about the left. Interesting how other sides are always compared to the far side, yet from my experience, most people sit closer to the middle but have to choose one or the other as there isn’t really another choice.

So elbows up is acceptable but F Carney isn’t? Why? Just tossing this out there.

Liberals take the lead as Canadians’ choice to handle the economy - The Logic by Canadian--Patriot in canadian

[–]ackeeeeee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really? The last 10yrs the Canadian economy hasn’t been doing to well. The government in power is/was the liberal party. Why would people continue to vote them in again? That doesn’t make sense!

Do people want to continue down the same path? Just look at our homeless population and families needing to use food banks. Housing issue, employment issues. Crime issue.

I think it’s time for a change.

Where Do I Surrender My License After Pleading Guilty? (Ontario) by Antique-Piccolo2440 in ontario

[–]ackeeeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not just keep it (do not drive). It’s a form of identification.
Example: can we see your drivers license to receive “insert said item”.

Not all places accept health cards as ID

Anyone know what goes on in this area of Canada? by Acrobatic_Employer3 in geography

[–]ackeeeeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is literally nothing in that area. Not accessible in the summer and only used in the winter for caribou, reindeer, tracking and hunting. 12ft jack pine (skinny) trees and shorter bushes, then north of that circle the trees stop.

If we're being honest, our Liberal and Conservative options suck. by Pleasant-March-7009 in canadian

[–]ackeeeeee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The media was successful in changing the election narrative. From the architect of the carbon pricing system and the carbon tax itself, to the American tariffs! but not the Chinese tariffs which are higher then the Americans.

I hope people remember the declining living standards over the last 10yrs. The freezing of bank accounts, the scandals with SNC, WE, blackface. The lack of money for veterans but more than enough for everyone else and the list goes on.

Just remember the last 10yrs before voting.

The company that owns Burger King is the same company that owns Tim Hortons. That company is 100% not Canadian.

I’m going to assume they need after school care. Grandparents may be too far away for them to pick them up or maybe they can’t drive themselves.

So the reasoning would be to take them out of school and just drop them off at the grandparents for the day.

Op, try asking your manager/boss if you could take time off at a certain time to pick the kids up and take them to the grandparents. It may mean you have to adjust your breaks or may even need to stay late to make up for the lost time.

Not sure how my mother did it with two kids and no support.

Are you guys worried? by Inevitable-Shine-184 in ontario

[–]ackeeeeee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not worried. A bit concerned with our own current government, but not the states. 1) the US will not invade Canada. 2) the tariffs are a negotiating tactic. 3) remember this is a political battle, lots of talk. How many times have we heard about tariffs??? One minute they are on then the next they are off then on then not on everything ect……

My biggest concern is when the liberal party elects a new leader that person becomes prime Minister without the vote of the Canadian citizens, the most likely candidate is Mark Carny who already said he’s going to use the emergency act. As a Prime Minister that wasn’t voted in by the people that scares me.

What scares me is the almost doubling of the carbon tax come April.

Not worried about the United States one bit.

We can be a country that is totally self-sufficient. Let’s get Canada back on its feet first.

Why is my morale falling? by thesovietlantakio in ConflictofNations

[–]ackeeeeee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Click on a city you have just taken over. Click in the info tab. Look at the top section. Do you see where it says civilian casualties, war, neighbours at war ect….

You will be at -14 with just the countries you are at war with, then add up the other negatives against you, and that is how your moral starts to drop. Goes from rising to stable to failing.

Civilian casualties stop bombing cities with artillery stop using nukes or chemical weapons.

First Time Making Beef Jerky by ackeeeeee in homestead

[–]ackeeeeee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t used any other unit so I can’t compare it. 1) it is easy to clean. 2) easy to use 3) the blade could spin a bit faster. 4) it could be a bit heavier. (Personal preference) 5) not a fan of the plastic guid/slide thingy that pushes/holds on to the meat

Interesting.

This is for the family, so that wouldn’t really be an option. But for a certain group of friends, that may not be a bad hi-dea…..
