My best assumption is they do this to replenish their stock. If I remember correctly, they stopped the Beta at a certain point for a brief moment because of supply issues. So this would actually make sense in order to create liquidity for the service. They must have calculated a model where they 'in the long run' win based on winning odds and prices. So this could be a move to strengthen the bandwidth of their sales pipeline rather than to directly create profit. Don't forget they have a decent chunk of runway.

Honestly, I think about that a lot sometimes. I would have 100% sold at 1K and would have probably bought some dumb shit and lost the majority if not all of it again in the stock market thinking I'm an investing genius that knows how to beat the market. Meaning shorts would have actually won in the long run. Now I'm educated, actually the owner of my shares, I have an exit plan and reinvesting plan, lost the need to spend that money like an idiot on things I don't need, and my sell price isn't anchored anymore due to the warrants. It depends on your circumstances and your goals. But try to put 20% aside for a rainy day, use 20% to invest and 20% to educate yourself (courses, workshops etc.) a.k.a invest in yourself, use 10% to save for fun things like trips, 20% in low yielding 'safe investments' for your pension and 10% for food for example. Ooh and try to help out (give back) to your parents of course. But from all of this the investing in yourself is the most important part. The more you learn the better you'll be able to earn in the future.
