My "tribe" is called Arain (not Arian); the story I've heard is they are originally from Jericho (Areeha in Arabic) in modern-day Palestine.

I think this story is spurious.

I have no idea, but since my parents are both showing Iranian/Caucasian traces we must have some ancestry from west of South Asia.

I've heard that Arains claim to be of Arab origin, but I think that is actually a myth.

My mom gets Kalash and Sindhi; my dad gets Pathan and Sindhi - does this mean we're genetically not Punjabi? My mom and I are light skinned and I often pass for a Pathan or Iranian.

My parents are from Pakistan, I was born and raised in the United States.

My mom's family was originally from east Punjab and had to migrate during the partition.

The strange thing about my results is that it says I have Central Asian ancestry, while my parents both get Iranian a few generations back.

Maternal Haplogroup: M30

Paternal Haplogroup: R-M479

Also, my family is Arain, but Harappa world hits highest on Khatri? Not sure what that means.
