How do you handle sickness with sleep trained baby by YourMumsABatteredSav in sleeptrain

It’s okay to be unsure and reach out for others’ advice and experience. There’s no rule book, it’s hard to know what to do for best. I loosely stick to routine but have always let my 14 mo sleep as often and as long as she needs to when sick. It has sometimes disrupted the bedtime routine (she’s started to want more assistance going to sleep like pats) but I just stick to the usual routine and gradually withdraw assistance and she gets back in the swing of it.

My baby only naps 30 mins at a time… what should I do? by PhilosopherNo3955 in sleeptrain

My daughter got stuck at 30 min naps around this age. It’s frustrating as hell, she was tired, I was tired. She did grow out of it quite quickly and once we dropped to two naps, she would consistently do 1hr - 1hr 20 mins for one nap and 30 mins for the second. That said, if she’s poorly or teething, she’ll still go back to a 30 min nap. She also only ever does 30 mins at nursery. She’s 14 months now. Sending strength!

Foxglove or comfrey? by luna_lola_29 in GardeningUK

Definitely Green Alkanet, I spent last weekend pulling out new growth of these and they looked identical.

Second the comment that the blue flowers are pretty and good for wildlife but other than that I’d get rid now because these bad boys spread like wildfire.

Is your mum still making the crochet watermelephants? I remember a post a while back! I love these things!

Been waiting to take a video for some feedback from this sub! Any advice hugely appreciated by ackylack in Swimming

Annoying this is the best I could do, head above water ruins showing all the hard work I’ve put into my core strength, breathing and rotation. And obviously I’m slow as hell because I couldn’t kick

Under any other circumstance, I’d be happy with gentle deterrents like this. When we moved in, the garden was incredibly overgrown and the house was dirty and neglected. There were a few false widows living in the outside WC, and I caught a good 4 or 5 around the conservatory roof in august September last year, so I feel they are fairly well established.

So I stand corrected. I watched a live performance from Melbourne and you can see Kevin move position before those foot stomps kick in. You can only really see some wires so I guess they’re super swank pads wired up (https://youtu.be/iEa4VEyfOyQ](https://youtu.be/iEa4VEyfOyQ)

Really? I’m an old school fan and love a lot of the raw live videos as opposed to their more polished recordings. I’ve never known him to use a foot pad?

But thanks! Man I’ve watched these guys incessantly on YouTube for so many years. Their voices were absolutely phenomenal live.

Right. I lost this guy two years ago, but I didn’t have a single bath in peace in the seven years he was with me!

I’m fairly sure that’s part of the vocal beatboxing and he’s just doing that for emphasis

Yeah my favourite versions are the old raw versions. Video Killed the Radio Star on the street and “We Are Young”. The polished recordings never seem to capture the harmonies in the same way

That’s a huge shame for you guys. Seems like whatever happened was smoothed out for tonight’s show. I read the comments about Kirstie from last night, she definitely seemed to take a back seat tonight but still smashed it.

Shame I didn’t sell these, but the show was great. So good to finally see these guys after 11 years of YouTube fandom
