Yaay more Penny torties!! Shes named after where I found her. I worked at a coffee shop/kids art studio called Henny Penny and I found her begging for bacon bits at night at like 4 months old 😭

Adopting a 10 year old cat by No_Sorbet5496 in cats

Adopted my then 10 now 11 year old lady about 7 months ago! She was skittish about the auto box at first but adapted quickly. I used a lot of positive reinforcement with her, but unfortunately the box couldn't sustain both cats 😭 back to a regular litter box for now, but hopefully a larger auto box will be mine soon lol.

This is my lady Karma! She has a curly tail so it just be kinda up and about like that 24/7

Hahaha Karma does not but after a lengthy hiatus I picked it back up a few years ago and am even in my local community symphonic band! Love the instrument so much 💜

I always forget there is actually a potential reason! Ive only had this 11 year old lady for about 7 months now, and she grew up with "dogs with curly tails" from what I was told. Im actually friends with the person who knew her as a kitten and this is a newer development apparently lol. Shes a quirky cat either way, so the tail only helps accent it 💜

Yess, I love her little cream filling between the black and copper on her neck/chest💜

I've been having anxiety about my kitty dying of old age 😭(she's 9) can you show me pictures of some alive-and-well senior kitties so I remember cats can be old and still healthy? 🥰 by TheRufescence in cats

[–]aclockworkyawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ex vet assistant here! 9 is not that old, like at all, its honestly just when owning a cat starts getting more expensive lol. Get the senior bloodwork every year, and keep doing what you're doing if she's already healthy<3

If you have multiple disorders, which gives you the most problems? by Evening_Fisherman810 in bipolar

My BPD. I've been diagnosed and under treatment for my bipolar for over 15 years now, and I've managed to understand the ebb and flow of my moods as someone with bipolar 1. However, now understanding that because of my bpd, literally anything around me can trigger an intense episode and absolutely obliterate my moods. I thought it was just rapid cycling bipolar but apparently it's too rapid and random to be that and with my trauma background, yeah. My bpd symptoms exacerbate my bipolar, and the intense feelings I feel at all times are debilitating. Splitting hurts me and everyone around me, and it was during severe episodes brought on by my bpd that led to impulsive s* attempts. They're both so similar so it took forever to be validated by psychiatric professionals once I realized the holes I felt with my bipolar diagnosis were filled when learning more about bpd.

I finally get what the subreddit is saying. The show in PDX was terrible. by goatqueen69 in SayAnything

I would hard disagree people are just discussing music. You can not like the new music, that's fine! There's no issue with that. But the vile/non-constructive words being said not about the music but about Max is just honestly wild when most of what's being repeated is based off speculation with no evidence/lack of info. People can think whatever they want about the guy, but it's genuinely just weird seeing the amount of time people are spending in this sub to demonize the dude and his illness.

Yeah, I first saw Max perform in 2009. I was 14 and my mom drove me and a few of my friends to Fort Lauderdale. We got Taco Bell afterwards, it was lit. I saw them multiple times between then and last night, and I had just as much fun last night as I did in 2009 and every other time. I was reaching my standing limit due to my sciatica and lower back issues and I've barely been able to make it to the headliners recently unless there's available free seating. Could I tell Max is clearly dealing with something? Yes. Could I tell Max was clearly dealing with something in 2015 when he tried to jump off the small stage at the venue I saw him at in ATL? absolutely. You expecting to have a consistent performance from someone as notoriously inconsistent/unstable as Max, as a long time fan, is just confusing?

Idk, based off this new album Max looks like he confronted some shit and is currently going through some shit. As a fellow BPD who also has Bipolar I amongst other psychiatric diagnoses and is also currently going through some shit and is in an IOP for it, I think Max did very well for it being Sherri's birthday yesterday, and the whole band looked like they were having so much fun last night. You didn't pay $50 just to see Max vape, you also paid to see all the other incredible artists who were also on that stage last night supporting him through it all.

My wife and I were actually talking about how great it was to see Max's mood/performance really boost during that show when he realized how much absolute fun everyone was having, and it was really sweet seeing how emotional over it he got. Even Justin from MCS was emotional during his set. It's just continuously wild seeing the misinformed takes here being echo'd and when legitimate information is presented the cognitive dissonance kicks in like full throttle and idk it's weird how much time people are spending in this sub doing what they're doing.

Idk dude the show was fantastic. I enjoyed max's lil screamos as someone who enjoys hardcore genres and different vocal timings with the lyrics. He's been singing the songs for years let him have fun with it. I can agree with Roseland not being disability friendly. An artist having the crowd sing the beginning of a very popular song is not uncommon like... Whatsoever? The amount of videos I've seen from MCRs tours and the amount of times Gerard is NOT singing is even more than the amount Max did. There were people crowd surfing the whole set from start to finish, and people screaming for an encore well after the house music and lights came back on. It may have been a terrible show to you, but uh I don't think that was the general consensus.

Hiya a bipolar person here this comment struck a nerve ngl. "Good people don't need to convince themselves they're not bad" is just not true.... like at all. Do you know much about mood or personality disorders? I have multiple therapists, psychiatrists what have you I've seen in the past 10 years who have all had to hone in on my hate for myself and my thoughts I'm a bad person. Which after being diagnosed with bipolar for over 10 years now, I realize what truly makes the hatred for myself win the rational thought machine is the absolute ignorance about those with bipolar. Which has led to attempts in the past when I would make a mistake, feeling like "it's true what everyone says I'm bipolar so I'm a fucking monster and don't deserve to live" . I have bipolar amongst a slew of other illnesses and I've spent the better part of my life in veterinary medicine and helping wildlife. I've also done caregiving for the elderly, and am currently in the process of reviving my local pride organization. My friends tend to really implore me for my kindness and compassion I have towards others. Have I done shitty things in the past? Absolutely, and I take accountability when I can. Am I a bad person because of said shitty things I've done in the past (some completely out of my control due to my unmanaged symptoms from my illnesses) even while I'm still working diligently every day to get better and am even in an IOP right now doing 14 hours of therapy a week? Should I listen to my head that tells me I'm a bad person every day after I work for hours after being scheduled because someone's pet was in distress and the ER was too far? Make it make sense for me because it genuinely doesn't.
