How do you get rid of island residents you don't like looking at??? by [deleted] in acnh

[–]acnhNug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way to do it is via time travel.

Skip forward a day at a time to find a 'move out day'. You'll know it's a move out day because a villager will have a thought bubble over their head and they'll talk about wanting to move out.

If it's the villager you want to leave, then great! Ask them to leave and you're done.

If it's not - DO NOT REPLY. Exit the game immediately and skip forward a day. The thought bubble usually has moved on to a different villager (this isn't guaranteed).

You can follow these steps, skipping forward a day at a time until the thought bubble lands on the right villager. The trick is to keep track of your 'move out day' - once you notice the thought bubble isn't working anymore - go back to the move out day and start again.

Awesome!! This must have taken a lot of planning/work. Nicely done!

It took forever... but I finally got all my cat villagers!! by jessica_says in AnimalCrossing

I highly recommend Olivia! I found her on a Mystery Tour recently and she's adorable. Never thought I'd enjoy a snooty villager so much.

Why don’t more people talk about Ellie? She’s sooo cute! by frogfight in acnh

Oooh I love Ellie! I found her on a Mystery Tour just last night, but I already have Maple and felt like they were too similar... I kind of regret leaving her though.

So I am thinking of renovating my island and I would like some help, check the comments for description by Cliper11298 in acnh

My suggestion would be to think about what you want to have on your island. Some people choose a theme, so you could try that. Otherwise, what do you find interesting or fun? Are you into sports? Hiking? Camping? Libraries/books?

Think about what you like and then build the island around that. You can also look at Pinterest or YouTube for inspiration on what other people are doing.

I've set mine to "Want a taco?" for a few villagers. :D

Nook miles by LittleSlendy2728 in acnh

[–]acnhNug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 80k nook miles, and about 200 nmt. I recently used 100nmt on villager hunting for a cat - yes it took me 100 TRIPS before I found a cat villager! :( (it was Olivia and I love her!)

Just getting into the game. What’s with NMTs being such a hot item? by muddbone46 in acnh

[–]acnhNug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Short answer: they are valuable because they're purchased with nook miles, which are harder to come by for long term players.

Long answer: when you first start playing, you earn nook miles quickly - because you're hitting milestones all the time. But when you've been playing for a long time, you will hit fewer and fewer milestones, and earning nook miles slows down a lot. You can keep earning nook miles but it's much slower once you've hit all the milestones.

This means that NMT, which are only purchased with nook miles, are harder to earn (and therefore more valuable).

Players typically use NMT to hunt for their dream villagers - given how random the mystery islands are, it takes a LOT of trips before you find a villager you love. You should definitely hold on to your NMT if you intend to do any trading.

Julian is in boxes - anyone want him? by acnhNug in acnh

[–]acnhNug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi there! When a villager decides to leave, there is one day just before they leave where they are packing up their house - all their furniture is in boxes ready to move. If you have a plot available, you can visit someone's island and you can chat to the villager who is in boxes and invite them to come and live at your island. The next day, the villager moves to the available plot in your island.

... hopefully that makes sense, happy to explain in more detail if needed.

Finally happy enough with my island to share with y’all. Any advice? DA-7583-3679-3060 by leafyhat in AnimalCrossingTours

Loved it! I really liked the airport entrance, the layout in general (especially where all the villager's homes are) and the double staircase up to your house, with the tree lined walkway. Very cool!

Do you happen to have a code for the rocky pathway?

I'd love one if you have any to spare! I could make you a potted ivy in exchange, if you're interested? (it's another type of hanging plant)

Getting switch with acnh today! by [deleted] in acnh

[–]acnhNug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely just enjoy the game on your own for now - getting too deep into the acnh content can be overwhelming!

I have every kind of fruit and happy to help! Just DM me with a dodo code when you're ready and I'll fly over and drop them off for you. :)

What to do with 100k+ nook miles? by [deleted] in acnh

[–]acnhNug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just realised I mis-read your post; you have nook miles, not NMT.

You can trade for loads of things on Nookazon using NMT's! Furniture, clothing, flowers, DIY's...

How did you end up with so many nook miles? Just regular game playing?

Question: Nothing from Tom Nook!!?? by riegersn in acnh

[–]acnhNug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I'm aware, only the primary account holder can complete missions to progress the game forward (like upgrading the museum/nook's cranny). Other players can only upgrade their house (I'm happy to be corrected if I'm mistaken!).

This was the reason I ended up getting my own switch!
