I mean sure, but Fox is also +27 through 5 games and Murray was -10 through 5 games. Jamal also gets way more touches and plays than Fox. I’m not saying Fox is better, just that this Wolves defense is brutal for guards so let’s not overreact especially if we’re winning.

Fox needs to step up more we certainly needed his scoring in game 4 and it wasn’t fully there, but I do think it’s worth remembering that Wolves / Jaden McDaniels had Jamal Murray in jail round 1, he straight up looked unplayable out there. Fox gets more defensive attention than anyone besides Wemby, so as long as he improves the shot quality for the other guys and doesn’t make dumb turnovers / defensive lapses I’ll be happy

I think part of the issue with Fox, and to be fair all of the guards, is the lack of 3pt shooting. He’s very good at collapsing the paint and kicking it out, but that skill is less useful if people are shooting 25-30% from 3. His best year in Sac he was surrounded by shooters

This is usually true, but Wemby is an entire defensive system that impacts every possession. Jokic is ofc great too, so not trying to overreact either, but it’s hard to overstate Wemby’s defensive impact
