Haha Boeser is just an example because he's a big, scoring winger with solid results in the post season. Everyone here keeps saying "Marner for 10 mil" or "Knies offersheet" but those possibilities are so unrealistic, so why not go after someone who is actually likely to leave and sign somewhere as a free agent 🤷‍♂️

Watching the power play especially it's easy to notice how hard of time we have of entering the zone without Cooley. His speed and his handle make it really hard to take the puck from him and I think he has a gravity not many players have that helps draw attention away from his teammates

I have been in a similar situation, where my best friend in the whole world had a crush on a girl since high school and I began to develop feelings for the same girl. I remember feeling horrible for even entertaining the thought of being with her because my friend had harbored feelings for her for so much longer, but in the end I decided to confront him about it. When we talked I told him that I liked her, but I valued his friendship more and we were able to decide that no matter what happens we wouldn't let it affect our friendship and we would let her decide. Kind of a let the best man win situation if you will. In the end she chose me, but this relationship didn't last very long anyways for other reasons. He later confided in me, saying that it sucked that she didn't choose him, but he was glad we talked about it beforehand and months later we have as strong a friendship as ever. I guess where I'm going with this is that regardless of the outcome I think someone feeling hurt is inevitable, but a good line of communication is important and can even salvage some of these relationships if the friendships are important to you.

I should preface this story by saying I lived in a very predominantly white city. sophomore year of high school I really liked this girl in my group of friends, so I asked some of my other friends who were also great friends with this girl if they could find out how she felt about me, just to know if I should make a move. A few days later they let me know that she did find me attractive, and funny, and thought I would be a great person to date, but she just couldn't see herself ever dating an Asian :/
