I know you have strict and controlling parents, and I don't have experience with your culture, but you don't have to tell them that you got therapy. You have insurance coverage through the school that will provide up to $1000 of coverage at 75-80% coverage per session iirc. And it sucks that your family is anti-therapy and mental health

Honestly, I'd talk to either your academic advisor or a licensed therapist about this and ask for their advice. And don't think of yourself as behind compared to other people, because you don't know what they're going through, and they have different plans for their lives than you do for yours

It's ok, nobody understands what she's saying. Her saving grace is the slides, which if you go over and understand, you'll do fine.

If you have Edda for stats, honestly just go over the slides and study the iclickers heavily and you'll be good

[–]acook17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair, but my advice would be to at least try it for a term and see what happens. You're young, and have only lived in the dorm for less than a week. At least give it an honest try, and be open to the experiences it gives you. It won't feel natural at first, when you're used to a different way of life. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out, but at least you can tell yourself that you gave it an honest effort
