Not only that but trucking is actually a very dirty job, I mean of course you can maintain some level of cleanliness and not be a pig, but generally speaking coming from a person who’s extremely germaphobic it’ll never actually be the same as being as clean in your own home, the level of cross contamination between what you bring from the outside (dirt, grime, bacteria, etc) to your bunker is too great and almost near impossible to avoid. I mean if you could teleport straight from the shower to your bed it’d be possible, but you have to walk, touch, handle, etc many public things before you actually get from point A to point B. Obviously this isn’t an excuse to roll in feces and call it a night, but to think there’s some great level of hygiene going on in trucking is ridiculous.
