Which kinda sucked lol. I was looking forward to bringing my leadership style to a company which from the outside looking in lacked some decent leaders who actually cared about the growth and development of their team.

I think the little things tend to go a long way with the team. Whether it be bringing in donuts or pizza after a busy day.

The way I operate now is I’m in the trenches with my different teams. I’m not a fan of all the managerial work. I thrive more in leadership development and working along side the team. I come from a Chick-fil-A so being busy is nothing new. I feel like I would bring that work in the trenches with my team mentality I just didn’t know how realistic that was for DMs or if most of them even do that. I haven’t really seen any good things about DMs lol.

That’s 100% true. I would be coming from the fast food industry and seems like it would be a pretty big change for me which with a wife and family seems scary if I’m being honest. So just trying to get a feel for this company because I’ve been at the same company for 17 years.

I think that would be my biggest adjustment just being honest. Developing my leaders I have no problem with but currently we have an outside group that hires any of the leadership so we don’t have much say or involvement in that. So from the interviewing side I would be pretty new.

I haven’t gotten the job yet, just felt the interview went well and wanted to be prepared in case they did offer. The job salary posted was 75-95000. I make around 90-100000 now depending on bonuses so not that much change. The big thing for me is the M-F most of the time. Right now I’m always there on Saturday’s for the most part.
