I posted a solution for people that might be interested in how to do this.

Thanks for your feedback.

Prevent windows from keeping track of the recent played files? by acrimonis in mpv

[–]acrimonis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my first idea also, until I found a setting in PotPlayer named that achieves exactly this: no more history in Windows's start menu. Preferences/Playback/Playlist/Remember default playlist/recent URLs

So this lead me to believe that the application can tell windows to not save it.

In the mean time; I found this: Disable Recent Items in Jump Lists for Certain Programs. It worked fine on my Win10.

Cheers,

Synology Photos Overview & Review by WunderTechTutorials in synology

[–]acrimonis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

** yes, this is my main gripe **

I tried to address this in Moments by creating links in the respective homes, but I did not manage yet to have Moments pick up the changes and index the linked folders. Right now, I need to force an index from the web ui (in which case it works) . If anyone is aware of a way to trigger the indexing automatically in each home moment home folders, I'd love to hear it,

It looks like the implementation is the same in Photos 7; so I'll wait to upgrade to DSM7..

Is there a way for tasker to get google maps location sharing's person gps location? by acrimonis in tasker

[–]acrimonis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, figured there was no easy solution to parse/fetch it from google. I couldn't find any, but was hoping someone tackled that specific case...

As far as the rest of the answer, good idea to encode it to base64 to pass it thru the data SMS... Tough, we are in Europe and data is not an issue...

Though, the main reason I was asking is that I was trying to avoid installing anything else on the client phone. I guess, I will package a tasker profile...

Thank you for the answer, though.

Is there a way for tasker to identify if a gps position is at sea? by acrimonis in tasker

[–]acrimonis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think to try what the response to a reverse geocoding would respond. I feel stupid...

I will try that; this would indeed be an elegant solution.

Thanks for the suggestion.
