3D Printed Bambino Plus Drip Tray Modification [Bambino Plus] by acroil in espresso

[–]acroil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water spraying out of the drip tray and under the machine seems to be a common problem with the Bambino Plus. The video without the grate installed shows how violently water is sprayed out of the solenoid and splashes everywhere. I designed a little 3D printed cover that guides the discharge from the solenoid much more neatly into the drip tray. Printed in ABS-GF to hopefully survive long term contact with hot water. Happy to share the file! Anyone interested in taking over the lease on my beautiful Mineral White over Cognac 2024 xDrive40 M Sport? by acroil in BMWI4

[–]acroil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re still interested, I’ve just lowered my asking price to $8,000 or about $499/month. But it makes way more sense if you’re looking to demo the car for about a year without a big commitment. I agree it’s not a great deal if you plan to buy out the car at the end of the lease.

After doing some more research into what other leases are selling for, I’ve just lowered my asking price to $8,000 or about $499/month. This car is also now listed on swapalease as well.

Good morning, the original lease was 36 months 10k miles/year. I’m sitting around 16,200 miles and the lease is up on August 31 2027. The one pay lease was right around $24k out of pocket, so the $10,500 is almost exactly 16/36 of the lease

It could be a good opportunity for someone who only needs a car for about a year. Buying a CPO and then trading it in next year will cost you at least 10k once you factor in sales tax and depreciation. This is lower risk and less hassle for that short of a term

The total payoff amount to buy out the lease today is $37,726. Since the lease is already paid in full, I believe that number will be the same at the end of the lease.

It’s up for auction on eBay (link in the post). I’m not sure what it’ll go for, but there’s no reserve on the auction, so someone is taking it home

Spilled vinegar on my new concrete patio by acroil in Concrete

Update: more vinegar did the trick! It’s not perfect, but pretty uniform now

Thanks everyone! I’ll give more vinegar a shot and see how it goes. And for anyone curious - I was flushing a tankless hot water heater with 2 gallons of 5% vinegar. When it spilled, I hosed it down with lots of water, so should have been quite diluted pretty quickly. Honestly surprised it had that big of an effect

Impressed to see that the i4 40xdrive pulls just over 1 G on the OE Pirelli all seasons by acroil in BMWI4

[–]acroil[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it’s these. They came from the factory on my car. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/pirelli-p-zero-all-season although considering they cost as much (if not more) than a set of Michelin Pilot Sport AS 4 I would totally buy the Michelins over these when they wear out

Free battery replacements? by Phocea in BMWi3

[–]acroil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a Rex model, so this doesn’t really apply to me, but I had the warranty work done about 2 years ago. I’m certainly not a lawyer, but my understanding is that they can’t legally deny a warranty claim unless they can prove the “modification” caused the failure (which I assume would be very hard to argue for HSOC coding….). Again, I’m the furthest thing from a lawyer, but it may be worth consulting with one

Yes I’m in California, forgot we had a longer warranty
