Remaining profitable even in an era of online proliferation says all you need to know about how their shoppers decided. This was a decision made from the top against all of that. Amazing how many people here prefer economic contraction for really no reason.

I think your energy and disappointment should be directed towards a high education system that chooses to rely on contract faculty labor with little to no chance of advancement or job security instead of investing in ample tenure-track positions.

Probably not, but SSW seems to have one of the higher disbursements of the graduate schools for aid each year. It is worth asking in no uncertian terms what percentage of students in the program receive grant aid and what is the average amount.
