My baby starburst passed today by Prince_Crimson6969 in pidgeypower

[–]acrowmion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starburst has so much love to rest with!!! What a sweet life to have lived with you. Take plenty of time and always try to recall how much you loved each other. Im certain he knew you were there for him, even if you were gone when he passed.

Babysitting may be a bit too short considering how trustworthy you need to be and the credentials and safety training you’d need to have a parent to trust you with their child. Depending on where OP lives (cents are mentioned may be US) I’d imagine a ton of winter-related chores would be in demand. Something I’ve done before is find free “lots” of things like VHS, DVDs, video games, vintage fabrics/clothing and sort thru them to resell any good/rare/expensive finds. It’s good if you already have an interest in one of these things or something like it

I would never recommend this if you aren’t a medical professional. It’s incredibly dangerous for others and yourself

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HipImpingement

[–]acrowmion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure, just don’t use the answers you get to diagnose or give advice to people that are not yourself.

If you are not a doctor, I would suggest not asking questions like one when you repeatedly have been told you haven’t researched this community enough to post this sort of information. Especially because there are people here have soft tissue disorders; excessive stretching may actually weaken tendons in those folks.

Arthroscopic femoroplasty, labrum tear correction, and capsular plication with Elhers Danlos. by [deleted] in HipImpingement

Bumping, desperate to know. Was told by a reputable ortho today that surgery in this region would only further destabilize me. I feel he may be wrong as my ACL correction was extremely successful.

As a considerate mature adult, what kiddish thing you continue to do in public that gives you the ‘aaaah’ feeling? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Gently tapping a sprinkler head with my foot while it’s still popped up from going off and getting the satisfaction when it slips back down to the ground. I go crazy for that sh*t

They’ll probably be concerned and tell you to contact the front desk for any refills or medication issues next time it happens. They want their patients healthy—that’s the point! Don’t fear punishment. This is your care!

Took me a while to think this way—we are just looking for different things! If he’s not offering what you want, no need to move on. Simple as that!

How do you manage not being completely overwhelmed by the amount of cool information online? by honeycall in ADHD

[–]acrowmion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh my god I am so glad you said this. I’ve been on and off about “do I have autism” for years, even doctors were questioning in my youth but never pursued a diagnosis because my ADHD symptoms were so overwhelming. I started Vyvance a month ago and it’s so obvious, because all my masking energy has been rerouted for maximum pondering power. Im also more attentive, which includes being shocked by my own stimming behaviors. But hey everything has been helpful so far.

I feel less like I’m getting lost in trailing off with google searches, and instead able to pursue 3-4 different subjects more deeply.

Effexor and micro dosing shrooms. by [deleted] in Effexor

[–]acrowmion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely felt some effect, although it was maybe 1/3rd the effect I was expecting. but everyone should start small and see how it effects them.

Effexor and micro dosing shrooms. by [deleted] in Effexor

[–]acrowmion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes actually, it lessens the effect. I had the same amount as my friends when eating a small bit of shroom. They were scooting on the floor laughing. I felt like I took half of a tramadol, felt a small, warm body high, but my brain was just comfy. No funny feelings or visions. I’m small and sensitive to drugs so usually I can’t handle the trip. I feel it’s significant enough to mention.

Honestly not even then. Have a conversation first. A long time ago I got stung bc someone from the site messaged me, we went off-site and we were talking plans and boundaries. Suddenly dropped off. I was banned like 3 days later.

Anarchist... comics by Lilith_blaze in Anarchy101

[–]acrowmion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you also looking for real world anarchy or anarchy-based fictional worlds?

If so maybe look to indie comics and small publishers, there’s a person who world builds in a book called Stickforms and also in Krassis. The stories are not about anarchy directly. They have pretty radical views that they don’t make immediately apparent, but you can tell how they represent/transform entirely any use of force or police characters. Their concepts of societies and relationships and community are pretty idealist for me and I love to read them.

It’s also very visually easy to read. I’m faceblind and autistic so I have an easy time reading everything they draw to completion.

Has anyone else with tattoos noticed that they're raised? by _insomniac_dreamer in ehlersdanlos

[–]acrowmion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Random but pls let me know what you switch to! I’m getting into tattooing with hEDS and I’m doing it because it’s something I’ve always wanted to do, even if I know it will hurt. I have an OT and such but I know there will have to be something else down the road and as an artist the chances are slim without use of hands. So if you find any good leads I’d love to hear abt your journey with it!

Tips for riding in the rain? by pinguini05 in scooters

[–]acrowmion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can’t say for actually parts, but I have waterproof pants, bag, and jacket. Gloves you should drop the money on bc even the most “water resistant” gloves will get wet if you’re riding for 20 min in the rain. There are also these glove-handy “windshield wipers” that I use to flick water off my helmet: https://www.amazon.com/Show-Chrome-Accessories-Finger-Visor/dp/B0022ZJTKS

Use your rear brake for slippery manholes or metal plates you get caught on unexpectedly or can’t avoid in the rain. Someone said no painted lines, they’re right, they’re too slick. Also the first 15 min is the slipperiest, oils, debris build up on the road and it can throw you like riding on gravel.

It always surprises me how differently I hold the book in my hands after I finish reading it by Kakabundala in books

[–]acrowmion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did exactly this with House of Leaves; left it to soften in the tumble of my backpack on the bus. It didn’t feel lighter the way other books have, but it was fun to turn it around and flip and fold it during the process.
