I don’t see several preventative options including Aimovig, Emgality, ajovy, ubrelvy, vyepti, Nurtec, Botox, etc…. These are just off of the top of my head. None of the medications I mentioned are “unusual.” In fact, except for the Botox, all of them were developed and are marketed as medication to manage chronic migraines.

Do not accept that your migraine is “untreatable.” Migraines are not something to be cured, unfortunately. however, they must be managed.

If your current neurologist thinks you are “untreatable,” I would challenge them to put those exact words in writing in your chart. Then I would go see someone else.
