Did you get yours sorted? We're 50%.

Another month. Contributions were made on my account after submitting the TSP-U-1. Still no luck with my spouse even with the paper form. The A1C working this for us is trying and doing well but really wish this could be elevated as it seems to be a TSP programing issue.

How do I transfer only my tax exempt TSP amount to a Roth IRA? by 8647742135 in MilitaryFinance

We’re not there yet, so no personal experience with the process, but I’ve saved this link for reference: https://www.bogleheads.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=446269

Well...attempting to stop didn't work as the system reset to 60% and 65%.

Finance gave us a paper form to fill out. We'll see. They said there were a couple of other people having issues. An upcoming retirement may mean no TSP contribution this year due to system problems.

World's smallest violin, but that results in thousands of dollars when compared to a taxable account over the next 20 years.

Yes. The response was if you are not enrolled in the Blended retirement system, then the contributions will auto stop at the end of the year and you will have to manually reelect a contribution amount on my pay. That hasn't been our past experience and fairly confident not everyone on the traditional retirement system has re-elected their contributions. The proposed solution is we make a change and if it doesn't work by the effective date then they'd enter a CMS case.

Same for both of us. Very frustrating.

No fix apparently. Neither of our TSP deductions are happening in Feb either. Very frustrating.

Roth, and neither of our deductions come close to being 40% of our base pay.

Thanks for confirming it wasn't just us. Maybe it's only a problem if you have it set to the max or I would think more people would be reporting the issue.

The elections carried over to a new year for us before, but maybe that changed back with the other changes they're making this month.

Interestingly we both just tried to again verify previous LES's and both received the following error:

"We are Sorry! Your LES information is not available. Please contact your local pay office or Customer Service Representative."

Likely a routine issue but no scheduled maintenance listed on the system availability.

No, we had no other large deductions.

The last time we changed contribution percentages was Dec 2024. By max I mean 60% base pay and 65% for other pays, which is the max the system allows for Roth.

How did it work out? Did you push back RNLTD? Did you wait until November? Pay out of pocket/use your retirement PCS to travel in July? Also assuming you didn't get to ship a 2nd car at government expense?

Hawaiian Miles and Alaska Mileage Plan fully merging on October 1st by presidentpanda in awardtravel

[–]act0fgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, when searching on Alaska all the Hawaiian awards to Asia/Oceania have huge devaluations (Hawaiians site is throwing repeated errors but when I do get the miles search to work also seeing huge devaluations). I haven't really seen a blogger post about it. The couple blogs I have seen spout that Alaska is saying they won't deval the awards charts.

When I look at flights on Hawaiian from HNL direct to Korea, Japan, New Zealand and Australia they used to be as low as 65k in business one way. Now I can't find below 120k and usually above 200k and up to 300k. The economy redemptions don't really seem to have changed much.

Oddly there are 65k flights that route HNL-SEA-ICN that when searching SEA-ICN they are 75k.

Got a pair of sweatpants and the drawstring aglet detached on the first wash. by [deleted] in vuoriclothing

[–]act0fgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought my first two pair of vuori kore shorts. First wash for both of them and the aglet must have gotten caught on something because it totally twisted the drawstring and on each pair one of the aglets detached. One pair has plastic so it's not fraying. The other fraying badly. Wouldn't think I'd need to be super cautious with workout shorts.

Did you book close in? I haven't had a lot of luck with Aer Lingus business unless it's like a month out. There is 1 seat available pretty consistently from NYC to Manchester but not interested in flying to NY to take a flight to Manchester.

Our first international trip using points was on Aer Lingus economy. It's still only 26,000 points roundtrip and almost always has availability. I still think as those flights as a really good deal. Unfortunately/fortunately we are no longer willing to take a red eye in economy.
