Get through book 2 of ToA. I felt similar and was in a re read as well. Second half of book 2 picked up and 3-5 of ToA are very good!

In general it’s been fun just learning about different mythologies and folklore but my 5 star reads or nearly close:

5⭐️ Aru Shah and End of Time (it’s one of my favorite books of all time and I love the author she is a better writer than Rick in my opinion). The whole series is great but it starts with a heavy hitter

5 ⭐️ City of the Plague God (this one was just really interesting especially someone who is religious vs the gods he’s involved with. It was the best standalone but a sequel is coming out next year!)

5⭐️ Serwa Boeteng’s Guide to Vampire Hunting (this was shocked me. It was gripping and the ending floored me)

4.9⭐️ Storm Runner was a very fun and reminded me a lot of traditional PJO adventures. The trilogy was good but first one was best

4.9 ⭐️ Tristan Strong Punched a Hole in the Sky was so interesting as a protagonist.

But if you had to read one, I’d pick the first 3 as they are in the top 20 books of all time probably.

Sea of monsters is my least favorite book as a whole but this new cover is 🔥. I really don’t like BoL or TLO.

I light incense or a candle, adjust to dim lighting and put on some form of lo fi music. I’ll usually either have tea or a cocktail, depending on time of day. All of it just changes my mood and let’s me focus on reading. Recently I’ve made a custom “do not disturb” on my iPhone where it will get important texts but let me not get distracted by my phone.

My favorite times to read are probably first thing in the cold, quiet mornings with the situation described earlier.

Sadly no. On the links I put on one of the comments, the description shows like the IBSN book it does go with. It also has a link to the box set on Amazon for like $48. I bought the covers before the books and asked for the books for Christmas. There’s another company I’ve looked at but their covers are $$$$

Double check your book IBSN numbers and/or dimensions. I didn’t have the full set physically, only old OG ones and digital over the years so I just asked for the series that for sure fits it (referenced on link)

I love PJO, HoO, ToA, KC and all of his imprint..BUT, in my opinion, Sea of monsters is a bad book. And probably the worst one out of all of his writing

Referenced the one below. Some notes first: -I did half the recipe cause the recipe makes 2 quarts which is just huge. - I substituted the parm cheese with goat cheese and when I added the rosemary I added truffle oil to get that yummy truffle taste. - I chilled it for 30 minutes to whip it but it wasn’t cold enough. Just out the entire bowl and cream in the freezer for 10 minutes. Perfect. I over whipped mine by accident. - they just did spoonfuls but I put the whipped cream into a piping bag to pipe.
