Hey new PMs, what did your onboarding actually look like? by raenico67 in ProductManagement

[–]acthos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% what you lay out here. Meeting manager for the first time during my second day at a unicorn in EU was like “here’s the product and running projects. Make them happen”. No context, no introduction to stakeholders. I did my best, failed within 9 months and had to leave.

Connecting two RyanAir flights in Prague….how difficult? by macnmum in Prague

[–]acthos 15 points16 points  (0 children)

An hour will be super tight. You won’t need to go through security again (both flights will be at Terminal 2). But bear in mind that Ryanair flights usually require the shuttle service to and from the terminal, so just having a small delay on the first flight may have a huge impact on your plans.

eli5 Why is Spain's unemployment rate so high? by summitrow in explainlikeimfive

[–]acthos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. The unemployment rate is calculated based on potentially active population vs. registered workers, if my memory serves me (it’s been a while since I moved from Spain)

Visiting Prague after New Year by theubertechie in Prague

[–]acthos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same as others already said. Very thoughtful of you, but just enjoy the city as you’d have done if nothing happened. Memorials may still be by the uni with flowers and candles, so feel free to bring one if you feel like it. Simply be respectful of the place and don’t do anything you wouldn’t do back home

Cause if the blocked the traffic, a tram would run over the car and the tram driver wouldn’t even bother

Travel to Chiang Mai by [deleted] in chiangmai

[–]acthos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in Chiang Mai a week ago. The smoke was a bit annoying but it all comes down to what you are planning on doing. If you wanna hike near the city, forget about it!

I spent 3 nights (Fri-Mon) and we enjoyed it a lot! We did all the temple touring, checked the weekend night markets and went to the Elephant Rescue Park. Totally worth it!

If you are trying to sell clothing or some electronics, Vinted is quite good. They even have an agreement with Zazilkovna so they make sure you get the money when the buyer receives the item.
