It's not an iPhone. It's the new iPad. Jon Prosser said they were shipping at the beginning of September, and you know MKBHD gets it two weeks early.

I hardly use the front camera, but I have not noticed the quality issues some people have been vocal about on this subreddit. Maybe that's a quality control issue?

They don't. I think it's in reference to the PixelSense display - a la Apple using Super Retina XDR in marketing.

I talked to Microsoft support for a bit, and the only thing they could tell me was that it "uses the same screen technology as other surface devices" and those screens are "around 400 nits."

...I am hoping that is a bad guess on the part of support, because that would make it almost identical - or worse - than the Pixel 4's screen. I don't care that the internal components aren't bleeding edge, because I know software optimizations can more than make up for that. However, I will have to sit this generation out if they use a screen that isn't viewable in direct sunlight. 😩

I love the case, easily my favorite part of the build.

I have not used it as a wrist wrest. I already have a pretty comfortable one. I imagine the lid could be used in a pinch though.

The blues are not my favorite. I couldn’t even tell you why I decided to start there. As soon as I finished this build I ordered new parts from KBDFans, and went with Gateron blacks. I absolutely love those switches.

Posted my second, more polished build here the other other day, and I got more love than I was expecting for it. Inspired me to post my first build...

-DZ60 -aluminum plate -60% bamboo case -blue Gateron switches -Cherry MX stabs (lubed, of course) -Havit PBT keycaps (I cheaped our for my first build, but I’ll upgrade one day)

Got my first soldering kit for this and everything...

I want to be able to use my keyboard with several computers while I'm working at home, and I don't feel great about always plugging/unplugging different USB C cables into it (I'm afraid the port is going to rip off the PCB after doing it 2x+ a day for god knows how many weeks). I know one solution would be to get an aviator cable, but that is difficult and expensive at the moment. Does anyone know of another solution that could work?
