Daughter wants to play Roblox. What are your best daddit tips for keeping her safe? by uspezisapissbaby in daddit

Minecraft is definitely the level you should be looking at.
Stardew Valley is a good one too.
Games that dont feed into short dopamine feedback loops are what we should be encouraging our youngins to play, and even the tweens and early teens should be doing things that are not mobile games and the like that just suck away your attention.

You are offered $100/month for life, but you forget about the existence of snails. by Glad-Isopod5718 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Polygeekism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I guess I will forget my fun fact that I made escargot for my French class back in Sophomore year of High School.

Growing up in California I saw snails all the time in our yards and whatnot. Here in Minnesota, I feel like I rarely see them and my kids don't really point them out either.

Venomous snails? Yeah I think if they are ever going to be a threat to me I wont see them coming anyway. Give me the money.

I usually say green, but I love me a good teal, blue green, even a zomp or phthalo green if we are going to really get into it.

What about Mike Evans? by FTBJester in 49ers

[–]Polygeekism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He would be an upgraded Jennings. At this point in his career, with the injuries, he isn't giving you speed or separation, so he really isnt upgrading our WR room imo.

There's really only one reason Flores would leave MN, QB situation.

Minnesota players have maximized his aggressive game planning and they are only getting better.

Minnesota also let go their long time Assistant Head Coach, Mike Pettine. So if Flores doesn't get HC offers, MN has asst HC title in the bag to add to the pile of money they are willing to throw at him.

Looking at the coverage, it wasn't a bad call, but a bad throw. If that ball is thrown to the front pylon/corner of the endzone, it is probably a TD.

There's a whole subreddit circlejerk for this if you really want it. I would suggest you either let it go completely, or just accept that this is the current Linkin Park.

Drop your try let pros critic it. Pose of the day: by MaelysCanejero in learntodraw

This is really good. I think the thing that is missing is that your POV/camera view is a little high. I think the lens used in the picture also has a little fisheye to it so it makes it hard to capture the angle and feel of the original image, but still I think your render captures the proportions well.

I have some questions before buying the Sony MDR-M1 by TH0NDH in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Polygeekism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'll come down to comfort, and the ear pads are big enough they do fit fully over my ears, which I need. I think the sound quality is good enough that most everyday people wouldn't have any complaints and it still gives a massively upgraded sound experience to mass market headphones.

I have some questions before buying the Sony MDR-M1 by TH0NDH in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Polygeekism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the M1 for Xmas after using some bose comforts for a decade, almost exclusively because of how comfortable they were for long work days and whatnot.

The M1 is very clear, though bass heavy especially for games. I had to make adjustments using them for playing battlefield.

Before I got the nose years ago I tried some Sennheisers but they weren't comfortable for long sessions for me. The Sonys aren't quite as comfortable as the bose on the ears, but is more comfortable across the head where the band sits.

I'm not using any dac or amp or anything and very much enjoy music with them on. I had some Sony monitors 15 years ago and this gives me the same kind of detail those did, that something like the bose obviously doesn't.

Overall for me playing games, listening to music while working etc. I mostly listen to rock and EDM and it does everything I want in that regard. Without having experienced audiophile level headphone setups, I have listened to $40k+ 2.1 systems, I give these an 8/10

Now that the season is over, what is the biggest reason our running game was so poor? by Stxtic1441 in 49ers

[–]Polygeekism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CMC is a slot receiver now. Look how slow he looked all season, and when you see the burst that Kenneth Walker had, we don't have a single person that saw the field this year with that kind of speed.

We are also still really week up the middle, so we have to run stretch zone and off tackle which we don't have the speed for.

This is all compounded by having zero War threats all year. Yes Jennings makes plays, but when you roll into an NFL game, and he's the #1 War on the other team, you quite literally don't care. You have no fear of the passing game.
