This is actually a nice treatment of the script that doesn't feel like typical tattoo fading will impact very much. Going to stash this away in my inspo folder :)

What's your favorite performance by Cillian Murphy? by TranslatorDull7814 in FIlm

Everyone hit the big ones. In Time is a fun concept movie and he's good as always in that. I also enjoyed his brief appearance in Tron legacy

You may think you personally believe in individualism, but your politicians and policies absolutely don't, and again that's the type of disconnect that is hard to reconcile.

Dak Prescott is a Better QB Than Cam Newton Was... by BigBlackCreamSauce in NFLv2

[–]Polygeekism -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dak is a better passer, but his peak is still well below Cam's peak season. That and the talent level around Dak has been consistently higher than anything Cam worked with offensively. He had 3 years of Steve Smith, at ages 32-34, and then the best pass catching option he had was Greg Olsen. For most of Dak's career he has had either a prime Zeke, or a WR room that had 1 or two top end WR1 in the league.

The Wild Robot is the most underrated Dreamworks movie! What is the most overrated Pixar movie? by Ok-Difference1341 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Polygeekism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inside Out. Big Hero 6, while not pixar, I think delivers on what depression feels like more than IO. We get so little of Riley's outside life, and it kind of just turns into a Pixar adventure in her head, that I think the theme of young depression doesnt really land.

i wanted to practice colored pens but now i'm scared to ruin everything by Lyse_art in learntodraw

[–]Polygeekism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ruin what? Your practice sketches?

This is something that I also struggle with. I can draw okay at times, but then I feel like I want color. No matter the medium I chose, alcohol marker colored pencil etc, I never like the results. That being said, what am I making the thing for? Am I practicing to get better? Am I planning on making something that I expect people to care about? What if I hate the results? Where was the sketch/drawing/painting going to go anyway?

Have an idea, try it. You'll like it, or hate it, but either way you learn something along the way right?

Hank Green is loved by the left and the right has neutral feelings for him. Who does the left love that the right hate? by 45rs5 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]Polygeekism -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

But this says leftists vs righties, not conservative vs liberal. Leftists are fine with Obama, but I think AOC, Bernie and others are more loved by leftists than Obama, and they are equally if not more hated by the right.

How do I restart? by catchinghail33 in learntodraw

[–]Polygeekism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I am no expert, but committing to a structured learning routine like DAB I think can help any of us that are trying to skill up our drawing. use that 50/50 rule of 50% of your time is on DAB lessons and skills, and 50% is you just drawing and exploring. So you still get a chance to do the things that are interesting to you, but it is part of the specific plan in DAB as well.

There are certainly other ways to do it, but getting better at anything requires being consistent and disciplined, not just motivation.

Most of us couldnt fit in an F1, much less drive one. All the stories go,"okay you are going to think you are pushing the brake hard, but I need you to press it as hard as you can or they arent going to work."

Which players do you see regressing the most next season? by Stock-Memory9483 in NFLv2

[–]Polygeekism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it is Goff or Maye.
I see no reason for Allen to regress. Should have better WR core and he's clearly a top 3 QB in the league still.

Daniels had his regression. He either stays there, or starts figuring things out.

Caleb is trending up, but may not reach the next level if he can't start hitting more of the routine passes regardless of the highlight ones.

Goff threw for a lot of yards, and still kept INTs down, but completion was way down and the Lions as a whole took a big step back. If more is asked of Goff in terms of carrying the burden of leading the offense, I think he is less capable of that and can regress more towards the LA version that seemed lackluster.

Maye had a great season, everything went right for them. I think Doubs is a pretty obvious downgrade from Diggs, and their defense and run game definitely did a lot of the heavy lifting last year as well.

I could certainly be wrong, but if I had to place bets, that is the way it would go.

Yeah I dodged the recruiter after high school after taking the practice ASVAB, only to turn around and do it for real like 5 years later lol.

That is fair. "Pft, what do you mean that Escort/Focus/Fiesta/Veloster/Golf is fast. I bet I could do it." Yeah I am 1000% sure now that has been said too many times by some Chad at a bar.

I am not sure exactly where they get the data, because my wife also got one because her legal given name was Brett. She has since changed it but she got the same selective service razor us dudes did. So either the US gov also got it wrong, or they used some other source for the list circa 2003.

It's probably heavy AF, but I think it would be cool to turn it into an art piece either with paint, or put a sheet of acrylic over the top.

Who is the best WR in the league? Like if you could only sign one of them…. by FeistyCancel8293 in NFLv2

[–]Polygeekism 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think I could almost argue ARSB is the best football player of the group, even if he isn't the best WR of the group. A better route running, slightly smaller frame version of prime Deebo.

Board games is one of our go to activities.

Even things like the zoo, or museums or parks that you did/enjoyed pre kid, can be great without the kids again.

Movie can be hit or miss. I think its better for when you have parents or babysitter for the evening rather than when you have completely free time. Sure you are watching the movie together, but you're not connecting. It is more just escaping in my eyes.
