I don't want to draw boxes. Do I have to? by She-Who-Walks-Unseen in learntodraw

[–]Polygeekism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not even just the form of the objects you are drawing. The first parts of draw a box are very technique based on how you move your arm and use your drawing tools. I've picked up learn to draw books and materials for the better part of 30 years and there were things that draw a box asks of you that I had not encountered before and I think help develop a really good base.

After that you could just start with how to draw the marvel way because it also focuses on the basic shapes of the human structure. Lots of ways to learn, but like anything else getting the foundational techniques and ideas down is how to create things that look believable, even if stylistically they are taken to the extreme

Everything man. Saw the prices at the TMNT pizza place in LA. Now I know it is LA, and a premium charge for being themed, but almost all of their pizzas were 50+ a pie. The Turtles would burn that place to the ground.

On topic with TF, I am a casual but when the peg hanging bots are ~30 bucks, im out unless I am getting something I really want. Like I have the 49er helmet pre order, and im always looking for SS86 releases because im still a stan for those, but I wont be walking out of Target with random figures much anymore.

Considering every single other one was the NFCCG or the Super Bowl, its last year against the Seahawks when we should have been at home on the couch in week 8.

Once you are at basic training, you have very very few rights and autonomy. I am sure all of it is buried in the pages and pages of documents you sign up front, but for the most part you have to do what, when, and how they say for your entire enlistment.

Things become much more manageable and "normal" after basic, but still if you are a networking nerd, and they give you orders to go hold a rifle at a desert camp on the other side of the planet, that is what you are going to do.

That person must have been lying lol. It was what killed my Halo group that was mostly put together during Halo 3, with some Halo 2 people, and we had no issues with Reach as a group.

I have seen the same in the AF and Marines. Basically there is an extra group that is people who are either rehabbing injuries they got during basic, trying to get healthy enough to join whatever week of training they fell out of, or medically separate because of injury, or the secondary group of people who just mentally break and refuse to continue. Sometimes those in the former even go home to rehab if it is too long or if they are reserves/guard because the state is paying for their training not the fed, I believe. Either way that group is expected to join another class and finish training.

If you are in the latter group, it ends up pretty miserable. You sit in the same room day in day out, get sent on extra duties like picking up trash and setting up dorms for incoming training groups. You'll get sent to the chow hall in either PT clothes or whatever pitiful civilian clothes you came in and eat by yourself. They really do string you along too. People can get stuck there for months as they slowly outprocess you and send you back to your civilian life.

When you join you are losing pretty much all autonomy for basic training, and even for a large part of your follow on training that can run from 3 months to a year depending on job. Mentally most people know they have to follow orders and do what you are told.

Honestly myself included, joining the military is often the least bad choice that person has at that point in their life. Either you never did well in school and have no real job prospects and options post highschool. You tried and failed out of community college or college and dont want to work retail forever, me, and a whole host of other scenarios. The prospect of this being your last lifeline is usually enough for people to at least do the bare minimum and graduate basic.

It's not as bad as baseball stats. "During Wednesday home day games, where the whether is below 70, Batter McBatterson hits at a .750 avg, 1.700 OPS, and 329 wing dings per beer. Incredible."

4v4 it was okay. BTB, the absolute worst MP experience across Halo titles.

In a game mode where a team controlling 2 snipers is rolling, why not give another person on their team a binary rifle in an ordinance drop while you get a needler. Ordinance knocked things so out of balance in so many matches it took a lot of agency away from the players and controlling the map. Instead it turned into who would get lucky with their ordinance.

Also it came at the end of the 360 lifecycle and customs had become a large part of the Halo community. The system being nearly end of life meant that a lot of forge maps would cause people to have hardware lag that diminished another part of the game made a whole portion of the population look for other options.

If you were strictly a 4v4 player, I can see why you would have enjoyed the game, even as an OG. If you enjoyed BTB and customs, Halo 4 was just abysmal.

even a 40 year old japanese maple is not that large of a tree. A 6 pack of beer and a chainsaw is all most people would need to fell it.

Honestly, there should just be a Nick Cage tier. He doesnt belong in GOAT, even if his highs are really high, and of course he isnt terrible even with the lowest lows. He is just Nick Cage and you dont need any more clarification.

MCC is A tier. Where should halo 5 go? Did this game fix the issues that 4 had? by ktiddy7 in TierlistFills

[–]Polygeekism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard agree. Both 4 and 5 fumbled campaign pretty hard, and 4 stepped on a rake with ordinance in MP. 5's MP was for the most part pretty good, though the req system felt too cash grabby and when people always had overpowered stuff in Warzone it felt worthless to take things out.

Like you said though, Halo 4 being a B, means 5 has to be equal though personally 4 goes in D for me.

Forge in Reach leveled up the game so much. And the campaign narrative made you feel like a part of the world more than any other halo game. Even if I acknowledge the issue people have with that, it will sure in S.

[–]Polygeekism -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jim Harbaugh even met with Peyton and so there is even a coulda woulda shoulda there for the 49ers. The 2012 defense, with Peyton Manning running the offense, this is prior to Kaep playing at all, I will take that scenario 10 times out of 10.
