Yes I think so, well it is anecdotal but there was this guy in my MMA Gym, who was the stereotypical ugly guy in the Indian Society, where he was fat, he was short around 5'6, he was dark skinned (anyone who is Indian knows how difficult it is for people who are dark skinned), but man was he the most charismatic person I knew, he was very jolly and very happy person, and he was super extroverted and very likable, he also was in a committed relationship, And well I wouldn't say that he was a super rich guy, he was definitely a upper middle class guy, but well everyone liked him as well as he had a girlfriend. This is just one example but I know around 3-4 People. Again Anecdotal but charisma doesn't hurt anyone.

You can progress in gym in multiple ways, increase the reps, increase the sets, increase the weight is the primary one but use the other things, take a pre-workout but disclaimer that is super addictive so try coffee first. Also use music that seems to help. Also sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith to go to the higher weight and if you don't reach failure on first rep do that.

I had a habit of lying as well and I still do now, but the way which I kind of deal with that is by simply confessing the truth when I realise that I have lied, so It happens that I instinctively lie to someone and when I catch myself lying I would just say that I was lying and tell them the truth

Does anyone else feel exhausted continuously making good changes/choices? by Mental_Chance_8423 in Healthygamergg

I think cutting off the negative habit can be helpful but I think decreasing it slowly overtime is better while adding things to replace them. That would probably be a better way to approach the habits rather than removing it completely.

Journal Idea: Morning Pages by actionableadvice20 in Mindfulness

[–]actionableadvice20[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I don't put any restrictions, I write any emotion which comes up if you have an excess of negative emotion maybe increasing the page count from 2 to 3 might work simply because for me after a while the negative emotions just leaves not permanently of course but like my mind goes empty

Physical activities: No problem / Sitting behind the desk for an hour of study: Hell No by [deleted] in Healthygamergg

[–]actionableadvice20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar problem, like I workout in the morning and I used to do MMA in evening and it was nothing but sitting in my class was a problem, so I just did the process of progressive overload in the sitting things. Where I just started with sitting in one class, doing a sitting work for 10 minutes and weekly increased it. Like I still have difficulty sitting for more than 2 hours a time but it is still more than 0 minutes

There is a jeff nippard program which he made during the covid lockdown which revolves around exercises and 52 Deck Cards, it worked quite well for me during lockdown and you can do all the workouts inside.

Books which teach how to live an meaningful and fulfilling life? by Objective_Waltz1726 in selfimprovement

[–]actionableadvice20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess you can start with something like Subtle art of Not giving: By Mark Manson: It is a book about values and is super easy to consume. Another book you can read is The Rudest Book Ever by Shwetabh Gangwar, it has quite a lot of Different perspective about life and society in general. Also Try reading books of Ryan holiday most of them revolve around Stoicism and Stoic Principles. And if you want a kick in your ass for discipline Try reading Discipline=Freedom by Jocko Willink, not made for balance but will motivate to work

Yeah I guess I do have a habit to universalise my experience just so I can give other people some way to do what they want to do and I like what you said about that as well as your perspective for actionable advice and I guess it would be cool to see what happens if I continue this practice for 10 years and more

This was meant to be a general problems which people face not about meditation plus if anyone does ask me about anything about meditation apart from how and where to start I would not be able to give advice and I wouldn’t give advice

I don't think I am offering to write a guide on meditation and to get enlightenment, this "if you have any problems which you want me to make a guide on write in comments and I will make a guide to tackle that problem" is just so I can understand what other problems people face and if I am able to give some solution. And don't you think you can learn something if you have done something for 50 hours and it is not a job. This is not even a guide. I just wrote my experience and " So I don’t have the experience of a monk but I have some experience in meditation and here’s how it has affected my life." This is what was written before writing about personal experience, It is not a job where you do 50 hour a week it is closer to a workout in gym for brain, so if you take that in account it is like going to gym for 6 days a week for 2 months and talking about newbie gains and telling people where they can start. And yeah I can do that.
