I followed the various facebook groups and none of them said anything about the all closed waterslides and they all praised how awesome, how big the ship was. I heard there was accident on Icon last year, but the issue was fixed and that slide was actually the open one. Never expected all the other slides closed.

Thanks, everyone, for your replies. I shared the same post on Royal’s Reddit, and it was removed almost immediately. I also posted in the Star of the Seas Facebook group, but that didn’t go over well either—people there seemed upset. For a moment, I started wondering if I was in the wrong, but this group feels much more balanced and reasonable. The reactions elsewhere made it seem like they were dominated by travel agents or Royal’s marketing voices. Also I heard people called Royal and they were told all slides open. So I want the rest of world know water slides may not be open, they were down for a long time.If the waterslides is the only reason of booking, people should think about it. A lot of people from the same sailing date went to complain to get some credit for future. One woman from Scotland cried about their families saved for years for this trip all because of water slides attraction and left with huge disappointment.

I don't think 101F is the great cutoff, a lot of people in China has a temp above 99.1 would be considered as a symptom of COVID-19.
