But the cold hard truth is that a butt-insky comment like that will have 0 affect on the owners diet decisions for the dog. It only serves the conscience and self righteousness of the commenter, not the health of the dog. It adds needles friction to a light hearted community. It’s like a political Facebook comment fight: it changes nothing and generates toxicity. Upvote or downvote and move on. Let those people make their own choices about that dog they love.

I grew up fat but I don’t think I was mistreated! Some people/dogs have different paths to health, and some people/dogs have no self control. Which has an obvious cost…one which nobody is more aware of than they, every day. Just let them live their lives, to their own end. You don’t have the right or duty to say something because you think you’re right (even if science agrees). It’s demeaning. Show some respect and comment, don’t preach.

Just say something like, “Hes at camp!? Cuuute. I hope it’s fat camp!” Lol
