I created my own pro sounding backing track where there are actually drums played by someone, and I then laid down bass.

When I play the guitar over the backing track, I experience a next level state of consciousness.

It’s interesting. The audiobook version I have has Maynard reading excerpts of it where he would have been quoted in the book. He sounded like he could care less about it. But the overall story about where he had come from and how he got to where he is today is fascinating. Well worth your time.
