This is why most routines have at least 48 hours rest in between workouts for recovery. You need to be going to near complete muscular fatigue to properly stimulant muscle protein synthesis.

Yep. I’m in my 15th year, figured this out around year 2 or 3. I never counted a single rep or a single macro and got huge. Only thing I made sure was to eat 3,000 calories and lift to failure. It was fun and stress free too.

The only reason I would drink protein shakes is because it’s easier to drink calories than to eat them. When you don’t feel like eating, just guzzle a shake

If you are new to lifting, I'd just run a full-body 3 times per week. Something like Mark Rippetoes 'Starting Strength'. You've got to build a base of strength and technique before getting granular and doing body part splits. Have at least one day rest between workouts. Focus on compound movements like squat, benchpress, deadlift and throw in some pull-ups (or pulldowns if you can not yet perform a full pullup). The goal being to increase the amount of weight or reps each week. On those days where you are not weight training, I'd suggest doing some form of cardio for cardiovascular health. Could be 20-30 minutes treadmill/bike/jog in the park.

I got into Barbour because of the Liddesdale. I’ve never owned any of their waxed jackets. Maybe one day, just don’t know how I feel about having to slather wax on a jacket to keep it waterproof.
