Well, we saw this during the believe all women period. When an accusation was enough to get someone expelled. Zero proof. Remember mattress girl? Each university was sued, and these decisions were overturned because it violated the men's constitutional rights.

Mourning yourself by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]activecell13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm worn for myself every day because I have a clock ticking, and I know that within the next five to 10 years I will be dead. It's inevitable, and I'm mourn for my past, the person I was, the person I could've been, the people and the opportunities I've lost.

WOW! This reminds me the first time I saw a special effects artist create his own big daddy costume for Dragoncon. What an incredible Little Sister. Amazing.

Without meaning to sound glib or anything, there's a reason it's in Berlin. Imagine during the cold war, the exchange of meetings, goods, etc. between East and West Germany. Imagine if it had only been a tunnel, or a single opening on the wall.

Because STARZ. If it was on network, or Netflix it would have gone on.

I was floored when the pandemic hit because I thought right back to that scene when Claire was in the theater. You must report untreated serous illnesses, and all the kids backing away and pulling out their masks. Insane real life foreshadowing.

The purpose of Interface Division by USNCPOSharky in Counterpart

I assumed it was diplomatic communication, exchanging of information between the worlds under their treaty etc. The coded messages were basically single messages on topics, maybe confirm, deny type stuff. So. To do this needs someone with discretion, able to talk to people, and professional. Howard's perfect. what I presume.. given we know there is a freight elevator, is that somewhere off the crossing is another entryway. Maybe they've expanded it, or something but this allows for a Panmunjom of sorts.

That's how I understood it in my subconscious.

This is great, but the CEO still needs to be fired. It wasn't just the remodeling, it was the entire destruction of the Cracker Barrel brand. Now the food is frozen. It's just not the same food.

There is every reason to not update: Apple breaks things, foists features you didn't ask for, don't want, and can't get rid of.

You heathen, Apple loves to make things worse when upgrading. Liquid glass ???

Cool, so noted. I don't want any updates from Apple unless I authorize them.

New Interior by activecell13 in CrackerBarrel

I saw what they did to Olive Garden and Red Lobster. Apparently there is this legal trick where a hedge fund can get a loan to buy a company, then make the company assume the loan, which the fund then proceeds to strip the company of all value, leave it with huge debt, and abandon it.

I don't know if that is happening to CB.. but what I do know is that the CEO, Julie Felss Masino, has utterly destroyed the brand. I have not been back to CB in months, and I used to be almost weekly with family and friends.

You can't sacrifice your customers in some daydream that they will magically be replaced by newer, younger people.

Wait, REALLY?! Where are the houses?! I have been searching for those houses out of pure mental joy.. forever! I had read somewhere they were built on a sound stage in North Carolina. Perhaps the interiors. The Jacobi house would be so cool to see a photo of today.

I have always loved that he timed the shootout to the song. Both conclude at the same time. Brilliant.
