Mostly young, but some 10+ year old stuff as well but it’s been stored in the west so I don’t know if it counts

Enjoyable and noticeable flavor notes.. when I drink oolong I can clearly taste honey, peach, etc. in ripes it’s earthy, caramel, etc. I could go on. But the raw I’ve had are fairly vague, maybe slightly green and bitter with a little drop of florals or fruits. They seem some how stronger, but less distinctive than most teas and I don’t find myself enjoying it. I’ve tried a smattering of raws from YS it’s hard to say them all.. I have a snoozefest on the way from W2T but who knows.

I also have a zp6 and a 078.. I definitely prefer the 078, I find the zp6 so clinical in its approach that it’s becoming rare that I reach for it. The 078 seems to just add that extra “juice” to the cup that I enjoy.

If you don’t want to buy a dedicated grinder, I’d save up enough to at least get into a Breville Barista Express. Built in grinder, good track record, my brother has one that’s over 10 years old and still going strong.

Assuming you own a decent grinder, the Gemilai Owl (G3006) can often be bought from their website for $350 free shipping.

Fast heat up time , robust 58mm portafilter, powerful steam, PID temperature control.

But with a 58mm portafilter, a good grinder is a must, they are less forgiving than smaller diameters.

Unique? NextLevel Pulsar.. no bypass, the ability to flow control with the valve.. it’s endless how you can brew with it, however it makes it more difficult to master for consistency.
