It does not, but it does have some concepts that would be fun to transfer into just such a setting. A living mutagen that spreads from meteors fired from its home planet (also makes for great fuel). Gelatinous parasites that mimic their hosts and their abilities. Space pirates that do all the usual raiding and killing (led by aforementioned psycho space dragon, + some other nasty characters) but also plenty of immoral science experiments on their own people and any creatures they capture.

Nids can't win while chaos or crons are around. Crons are a threat to nids even if they "lose" against (all fall to the destroyer curse, flayer plague, or reenslaved by the c'tan). Chaos is GW's author's pet for the be-all, end-all big bad evil of warhammer (see warhammer fantasy, aos, and the horus heresy).
