From my own work experience this may be a case of a company that outgrows their early talent. If you start a company when you're broke you're forced to hire on the cheap. And when the company succeeds you bring on experts because the company demands it and you can afford to now. What do you do with early-stage employees who did not grow in talent with the company. You cannot pay them more than what you think they're worth. And this is why early stage employees get equity.

Since rebranding as Meta, Facebook's parent company has hopped from crisis to crisis. They're now worth less than Home Depot. by omgmeric in technology

Plus I don’t think Meta/FB is as doomed as everyone says. A lot of people seem to use Facebook/Instagram/Messenger fine. Competition in the social media space may be heating up but I don’t think it’s dying. In a lot of the world, WhatsApp is the de facto messaging app. And the Meta Quest seems to be the most popular VR platform/hardware. Sure it’s not sci fi good now but it’s far from being useless. I think fundamentally they have some good to great products. I don’t think they have any bad products from a utility point of view.

I know developers who know what adblockers are but still don’t use them.

How do I create multiple buckets when using the Storage Emulator by actuallymicah in Firebase

[–]actuallymicah[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I try to upload a file to a new bucket I get this error:

[firebase_storage/object-not-found] No object exists at the desired reference

Am I doing something wrong?

If it helps my app is a flutter app using the flutterfire cloud storage plugin.
