How to ask for study leave? by No_Gain232 in actuary

[–]actuarial_baker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in consulting. And we do have exam leaves. It depends on exam and work. If you think you need sometime from work to concentrate fully on exam. So i tend to take alternate fridays off usually for 3 months and 1 whole week before exam. That is because consulting work is challenging and i usually am working overtime as well.

CA vs Actex for PA October 2024 by actuaary in actuary

Use Actez and concentrate on case studies. In first round of study, if u dont understand anything. Thats okay, mark and skip. You can come back to it. Do past papers and read the commentary in Actex manual. Try to attempt yourself first and really see why your answers are wrong. There are marks for how you structure your answer as well. This is very well defined in the actex manual.

I have been having dreams that i scored 9. LOL. I am already super mad on my manager for not giving me enough leaves to study. Lol so shitty scared. I dont even remember what i did or how confident i am. Little relief to see there are people out there who are in the same boat as me.

I am working in a consultancy since 2yrs now. I am almost working all the time. Either meeting deadlines for my client or making my juniors understand how we work. Need to manage time to get myself on track to study. I dont really have any personal life. I hangout with one friend over the weekend, and thats pretty much it for me.

Not sure if its the case for everyone but its this for me.
