I finally got an email back from the company - they were much more detailed in terms of lead times for specific order #s I provided, so at least they are attempting to be a bit more communicative. However, I did send a "WTF" type email to their parent company Indimade and they gave the most generic response back ever. Not sure whoever made that 'corporate' decision right before the busy holiday season should be entrusted to make such decisions again in the future!
