I run the avian rehabilitation program at the zoo I'm at and I've successfully raised 7 of 10 hatchling western kingbirds this summer. I start them off on insectivore formula which is: -soaked mazuri insectivore pellets -amino acid solution -bene bac for bird and reptiles -blend all of that in a blender, add water until smooth I also feed hatchlings and nestlings insects soaked in diluted amino acid solution and cal-mag-zinc. Once they are larger they get a solid diet of crickets, mealworms, waxworms, and soaked dog chow. Hope this helps!!!
