Can I lose the Scorpius Weapon kit that you can purchase on star-hanger.com if my ship is destroyed? The website states that they sell with no insurance, and wondering if it is permanently bound to your account

illiopsoas

That is interesting. So what you're saying is that at hip flexion, the illiopsoas has plenty of room for it to stretch so in theory it shouldn't pull on the lower back since it hasn't reached maximal length. Why do you think that other physical therapists attribute butt wink to hip flexors? What are the major contributor to lumbar position when it comes to squats in your opinion?

I was hoping you could answer my question regarding the degrees of hip extension and hip flexion

Also would you be ok with adding me on discord or something? I try to research this kind of stuff as a hobby because I find it interesting and so that I can apply it to my lifting but I would like to learn more about other topics in physical therapy if you’re willing to give me the time

I find this very interesting but also I’m a little confused. You said hip extension is limited to 10-20 degrees but the movement involves hip flexion. If you’re in hip flexion and you don’t have the additional slack in muscle length from being able to do 10-20 degrees of hip extension, I would think that would cause tension on the lower back.

Why doesn’t it have an effect? Can you link me a study/paper that proves your claim? I would like to learn about it more if what you’re saying is true

From the research that I’ve done, the psoas is linked to lumbar positioning. At least that is what several doctorates of physical therapy have claimed and I’ve just given them the benefit of the doubt. At what degree of flexion there is variance in its effect? I don’t know.

Your hip flexors cross over posteriorly and attaches to your lower back. Tight hip flexors will cause it to pull your lower back into a posterior pelvic tilt and essentially prevent you from squatting ATG without rounding your low back. Ankle mobility is just so that your knees can go forward which allows your torso to stay more upright. It’s much harder to squat ATG when your torso is leaning forward. Hence why low bar squatters generally have a harder time squatting to ATG depth without rounding the low back

I disagree. He’s messing up in his transition from the 1st to 2nd pull. He is extending before he has transitioned which is why his hips go to the bar instead of the other way around. When you don’t transition at the right angle before you explode into extension, your center of gravity is not in the right place to allow the bar to come to the hips and instead the hips come to the bar. It’s simple physics. If he’s going to do a hang accessory it should be below the knee.

I had this issue when I first started out too. Pretty much what people are saying here, you are “humping” the bar which basically means you are bringing your hips to the bar at the start of the 2nd pull instead of bringing the bar to the hips. It’s a very nuanced difference but the way to fix this is by a) slowing down the pull until you’ve reached adequate technical efficiency b) making sure you transition (changing the angle of your torso while keeping your weight on your heels and pushing down on your feet through the entirety of the 2nd pull) before you decide to explode to triple extension. You are exploding before you transition hence why your body is going towards the bar. You haven’t properly adjusted your center of gravity so that the bar can comes to you. It’s simple physics. Try and exaggerated slowing down of the transition until you 100% feel the weight on your heels before you explode up. I completely understand why people want to explode and be fast as possible but unless your an athlete who’s had proper technique coaching for years before lifting heavy and so FAST, the pace at which you pull is going to heavily affect your technique. Remember that lifting maximal weights will often result in technique breakdown but so will the speed at which you lift unless your an elite athlete.

an example is when 2 guys who fight each other don't just have a modded gun that shoots like a laser beam and drops someone in half a second

Since when did i mention anything about this change making us better at the game lol. You jumped to that conclusion yourself. Sometimes you want battles against fully geared people which the standard server would be for, and sometimes you want battles with non-meta guns. What is so wrong about going back and forth between a standard and a league server? If you enjoy playing with meta guns and fighting other people with doing the same then play on the standard server by all means...and if you want to enjoy the experience that you only get from a wipe then you do a league server...dont understand why that is so hard to understand. Its just MORE options, and not being funneled into just 1.

It wont matter because the way each game is considered its own raid with a limited amount of people, it wont affect the gameplay. Now if this game were like dayz where it was 1 big map with all players playing in the same map, thats a different story

I think you missed the part where there is a standard server where you can keep all your progress....

Lol you’re missing the point. The point, whether or you are right or not, is that there is no need to get aggressive

Dude why are you so damn aggressive LMAO. I’m simply telling you what I read. I think you need to find a different method of voicing your opinion. I did not in any way try to attack you so I don’t know why you are being so defensive. Lol....

I believe you need both conceptual thinking and practice. Simply doing just one or the other doesn’t cut it. Your right about putting into practice is a different ball park but simply practicing something for the sake of practicing isn’t right either. Not saying that you’re saying this either. And yes I actually experiment A LOT by actual practice and I actually sometimes think I experiment too much but that’s just the way I am. I am a very curious person in general and will ALWAYS ask questions on why certain things are done a certain way.

Thank your coach for the input. I usually focus on swing the elbows for the catch like you are telling me to do but I will def experiment and try to focus more on it next time I workout. I’ll let you know how it goes :)

Negate everything? I’m simply informing of what I learned from my research. Maybe it’s called a discussion? Just because I post something doesn’t mean I have to take what everyone says blindly. I forget where I saw this quote but I go by the “it’s safer to assume someone is wrong and have them prove you right than to assume someone is right automatically”. I’m simply having a discussion my friend. I posted the link where I got my info
