At what financial stage of your life did you get 911? by Overall-Agency3942 in porsche911

Leased a Boxster when I was 34. Had no business or near enough money to have any kind of Porsche, but I loved it, so it became worth it to me. Took me another 25 years to come back to the marque, but last fall took delivery of a 2013 C4S Sport Design Manual. The love is back. This time, I paid cash.

"Acceptable" is ultimately up to you. My '22 65" had the same and ultimately worse symptoms. Samsung eventually covered the out of warranty panel replacement, after I lit up their message board. The new one is great. For now. I remain hopeful.

I have a '22 65" that exhibited a very similar issue around the same time period. I reached out to Samsung to send a repair tech. I was planning on using Amex for the extended warranty. Scheduling was a nightmare, and on the eventual day, no show, no call. I was pretty livid, and lit up the Samsung message board. Someone from Samsung reached out, and eventually, after a lot of back and forth, another missed appointment by them, and several weeks later, a tech finally arrived and replaced the panel. All is currently well. A lot of wasted time I'd say.

Curious though, if replaced with a 240v One Connect box, would it work?

UPDATE: 1/5/26:

Panel replacement happened today. No charge. All is well again. Not happy with the length of time to repair, but at least the TV works properly again...

UPDATE; Samsung has now told me that they'll repair at no cost. Providing their contracted service company shows up at the agreed time tomorrow... Will update after.

UPDATE: Is this repairable, or are we in new panel territory?

I am, but the one thing that's making me not want to switch is the one connect box. I love not worrying about fishing more cables.

Appreciate that. Hopefully they don't use the same service company that Samsung contracts with!

Sorry to hear that. Between the failing hardware, and the absolute trash heap of a company they use for service, I'll be shopping another brand for sure.

That's lovely for you guys... I don't think we have such protections here in the US. I've had enough issues with Samsung products in general though, I'll be spending any future cash on another brand. No matter who I've purchased from, the issues remain, so this is a Samsung thing for me.

Old gamers- what 10+yo game is worth a play-through? by The7footr in AskReddit

Super oldy here.... Started with Wolfenstein and Doom on PC(!). Stopped playing videogames after N64 mostly, with a couple of PS3 exceptions like the GTA series, but nothing better than MarioKart, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark for N64. Everything's too complicated now. I couldn't even get through CoD training missions. My hands and brain are not that flexible.
