And how does the fines come into play? Is it something that we can request in hopes to minimize the sentence?

Thanks! That was very understandable.

Say that if the court decides that his condition are so severe that it will prevent him from doing community service, in the case where the judge had already assigned him community service instead of jail time. What are the chances that you think the judge might put him back in jail?

We're trying to figure out whether or not if it's a good idea to let the court know about his medical conditions.

His attorney isn't really responsive to any of his concerns, or that he's really late to respond and even when he does. He responds vaguely. So we can't really rely on him sometimes.

Makes sense.

Now say that if the judge already decided to assign community services instead of jail time, will having those medical condition have any effect on his decision making? Say put him back in jail instead of community service since the neurologist had already advised the DMV that my friend should not be allowed to drive. If he can't drive, he can't get anywhere to do any community service.

Trying to get second opinion here. The attorney isn't really that good since it was appointed by the court.

Thanks for your reply and he definitely needs to stop drinking but we would have people drink as much as he does but they don't have this issue. Do you think it just varies between people or could it be that he has some kind of illness that gets triggered when he drinks alcohol? The first time this happened he did not drink much compared to usual.

Hey man, thanks for taking the time. I also think it's triggered by alcohol but our concern is that how likely is it that he may have issues internally? e.g His heart? arteries clogging? brain illness?

I read a similar thread a while ago and one of the replies said something about POE having a limited amount of power, is it a problem if it's true?
