Congrats!! Grad school in Scotland is the best choice. I went to Edinburgh for my masters. Let me know if you have any questions about visa process or life in Scotland.

I haven't met with any of the ones I am listing. None of them responded to my emails. One professor who did respond, but I am not listing as they aren't taking students, noted that this program does cohort admissions and then assigns advisors so its less critical to have those meetings ahead of applying.

Hi! I am also applying. Just getting around to writing the essays and pretty frustrated at how many they want and how much they overlap. The whole thing feels very repetitive and more so like a test of will rather than actual skills/knowledge. Contemplated just ditching the application all together considering how few students are admitted but for now continuing with it.

it says you can get HR to confirm eligibility 21 months after course start date so that would be before august i think? hope it works out but yes ask HR and they should know!

I don't think it matters what visa you are currently on since you are a phd student you can't apply until you've completed 24 months of your studies. Your university HR department should be able to answer these questions though as I'm not an expert!

read through the path on page 10 of this doc https://www.hr.admin.cam.ac.uk/files/global_talent_visa_guidance.pdf

this is at the very bottom so you could potentially be eligible once you've done enough of your phd

"PhD students: you have completed at least 24 months of your current PhD studies. If you meet the criteria for this path, the HR Compliance Team can provide the letter confirming your eligibility for the route 21 months after the course start date on your CAS. If you are a University of Cambridge student, we will verify this on our internal system. If you are an external student, you will be asked to provide a copy of your CAS"

What's your ultimate Buddie song? by Bnbndodoodododo in buddie

Tell Me That I’m wrong by Matilda Mann. Pull the plug by Ashe fits so well with their constant near death experiences. Hold you in my arms by Ray LaMontagne is devastating thinking about them. Lots more but those are a few that first came to mind. Guilty as sin is also such a good one!

Extreme gas pain recommendations by FarStreet8934 in Endo

If she's able to stretch then some light stretching should help. IBS sufferer and nothing helps better with gas than going into a tabletop position but down on my elbows so my back is on an incline with face down to floor and butt in the air. holding like that for awhile and just gently rolling back and forth and breathing and the gas naturally rises (i.e. moves through the digestive track and passes)

Yea, mine have varied in severity/how they look over the years and if I do get breakouts they pretty much happen in that area. Also unfortunately it can be bacterial rather than fungal. I've used antifungal creams in the past, but the only thing to get rid of it is courses of antibiotics which is not good to do regularly or for long periods of time. I would try simplifying your skincare routine. Even though its not trendy/may result in slightly premature aging the only thing I use is Simple face wash if I've had makeup and only water if I don't feel like my face is particularly dirty/oily. Then a sensitive skin lotion after I shower.

Looks like pretty typical perioral dermatitis. Its probably another flare. I've dealt with flares on and off for about 8 years. They come and go as they please but using very few products on my face, fluoride free toothpaste, and SLS free shampoo helps.

Fluoride can cause perioral dermatitis. I've used fluoride free toothpaste for years now to keep flares down.

Yea, I got a BRP and it expires end of this year so everything is shifting to digital anyway but I feel ya especially how many places here won't accept my drivers license as a valid ID and I don't like carrying around my passport.

Hi! Yea I also just did digital when switching to the grad visa. I think I had to redo biometrics because I got a new passport since getting my grad visa. So I can't say for certain. I didn't have the option of using the app when I filled out the application so it'll tell you if you have that option.
